with gang beasts finally coming out on console and out of early access, i still will sometimes have the thought pop in my head "how did samurai gunn never come out on console?"
it's not like that game was unfinished or anything. i read the people behind it moved onto other things but you'd still think the money / effort to put that game onto console would at least generate additional money back for them in return?
there's alot of online consensus that nidhogg is one of the best local multiplayer couch games but whenever me and my friends play it we get sick of it after (or during) the first match. don't get me wrong, i love the art and music of that game more than anything else, but when you have 2 people of equal skill level playing and everyone else just has to sit back and not play for half an hour that shit gets boring quick.
towerfall ascension... on the other hand.. still stands out to me as being still fun in that category of local couch games. it's just wild to me that we never got samurai gunn on console to sit alongside the other games for the 'group of friends are over lets turn on the ps4' sessions.
My theory is that it'll just come out a random week when people least expect it.
Heck, this year saw the console releases of stuff like Duck Game and Tango Fiesta so I'd like to think someone might be working on that.
But I have nothing to back that up besides the releases of other games.
