  • Amazing game, the best visuals on the PS3 so far that I played. There is something about this franchise that really just feels right, everything it deals with has a certain charm that rarely is seen in video games today.

Great story, amazing characters, locations and moments worthy of big Hollywood blockbusters, and clocking in at 8 hours that's not bad at all.

  • Probably my favourite fighting game of the generation, and one of the few fighting games I am somewhat adept at. MK is a return to series roots after quite a disappointing run in the 3D realm, this is by far the best MK ever. It has great combat, solid presentation, great graphics, bloody fatalities and a pretty solid single player story to boot.

I played this game in co-op with my roomate and it led to one of the most enjoyable and fun experiences on the platform. The game is enjoyable thank's to it's simplistic gameplay and charming artstyle. A great throwback to older platformers and a nice rebirth of an old forgotten icon.

  • Yes the game is short(took me about 6 hr to complete the SP), yes the game seems to take many cues from Half Life 2, but seriously I had an amazing time while it lasted.

Going back to the weapon wheel and health pickups was one of the most refreshing feelings in this game, add to that some great level design and enemy encounters, as well as a good atmosphere and sense of desperation, and you get what this game has to offer. A short yet compelling experience that any FPS fan should enjoy.

  • One of the most fun open world games I have played, I absolutely loved this game. It starts a bit slow but picks up soon enough and then just gets better and better. The powers are a ton of fun and just navigating the city is a joy, the ice jumping enemies are quite cool to fight as well.

One of the best ps3 games I played.

Just like Bioshock, I know most of what this game has to offer but sadly I did not actually play through it all myself. I will try to get back to it some day. As far as I got to play, it seemed like a very solid game in all respects.

This game gets a lot of shit from people, mostly because it tried to be different, but didn't go the extra mile. If you stop thinking about all it's flaws and don't spoil yourself with internet chatter, playing this game is a very nice an welcomed change of pace from all the other titles on the market. Sure it's not quite there, but for what it offers, it's great.

And I would love to see other games attempt similar themes and ideas with more success in the future.

  • Beautiful, impressive and atmospheric at times, however the ending left much to be desired. Your opinion of this game will depend if you have played Killzone 2 before or after, having not actually played it my view of this game might be somewhat different then most. One thing is for sure, it's a pretty fun shooter that just feels right.

Once again, I love the MotorsStorm series, This game fully fleshes the chaos by also having dynamic environments that change during the race in spectacular fashion. Things like earthquakes, tornadoes, falling planes, all out war and anarchy in the city it's all just over the top goodness. The game however is a little bit less friendly and focused because of this however, it becomes a struggle just to stay in one piece, but after you memorise some of the tracks it all falls into place quite nicely. You don't have to be a racing fan to enjoy this game, but a fan of spectacle and chaos.

One of the better looking games on the system (or any system for that matter), the game is visually stunning and also plays pretty well. The New York setting was well recreated I thought and the whole game just seems to remind me of Hollywood Blockbuster movies like Transformers and Cloverfield.

Not the best shooter out there, but if visuals are your fancy, go right ahead.

A military shooter simulator, there is quite a big difference between this game and something like CoD. This game really puts you into the conflict in a way few shooters manage to, it also shows other aspects of the conflict such as: treaking long distances, tense long range skirmishes, paranoia, split second life and death situations. Great experience, really enjoyed it and knew little about it before hand.

A very silly and stupid game that also happens to be very fun, this is what you get when you just make a game for gameplay's sake. It might be dumb but it's dumb and fun and that counts for a lot, I seriously would like to see a sequel to this in the near future. Sometimes you need a game where you just turn off your brain and go with the flow, and not a bad flow it was.

The best of both worlds, mixing the 3D and 2D sonic games was a great idea, when one got stale after a while you could go to the other. Finally some justice for one of the most iconic gaming mascots.

  • I guess this is the downside of having a large number of talented and nonconformist minds working on the same project, it turns into a weird cluster that makes little sense. Don't get me wrong, most project the two are involved in make little sense but this one just seems to be a little bit too...try hardy ? I mean I respect their work and even here there is enough crazy to at lest keep you interested in playing, but it just seemed a bit artificial.

I loved going through the game and recognizing elements from Suda and Shinji and of course the soundtrack from Akira Yamoka, but I think it's safe to say that it's not their best work. Whatever the cause or causes, this IP deserved better considering the talent it had attached to it.

  • The game started off really nicely: it introduced the pretty cool combat system, the awesome Warhammer universe and had a nice flow to it. It was your basic unoriginal TPS with a few changes, but I kind of enjoyed that at first. I was even willing to maybe give it a 4 start rating, however it lost that star by the end of the game, this game got soooo repetitive it was ludicrous. Sadly it just didn't aspire to being more then just a solid TPS set in the Warhammer 40k Universe, but even so I think that it was quite reserved with the material.

Still I have to appreciate it being as good as it was, unexpected almost.

  • Played through the game split-screen with a friend (god the screens were small)and it was a fairly enjoyable ride but not a very diverse or original one. The FEAR series has clearly degraded in quality over the years and this last outing might just be the weakest, if not for the co-op it would have not even mattered. Is the game still scary? well it still tries but since it's harder to get into the atmosphere when playing with a friend and most of what you are doing is killing people, it tends to rely on jump scares with just a handful of creepy moments, but yeah it's quite harmless as far as horror games go.
