This was such a great stream and a total surprise. I was initially kinda bummed about Rock Band drumming, but damn it if you didn't entertain from start to finish! Loved it!
I guess I understand the reason for this, but I don't like it. Pretty much regretting my PS4 purchase atm, unless there's an upgrade path that takes existing PS4 users into consideration and doesn't result in me having to fork over another 399$.
@benderunit22: As of now there's no innate support. You have to "force" support through Joy2Key or something similar.
Q3) What game pad and arcade stick can I use?
A3) XInput-compatible game controllers such Xbox 360 and Xbox One game pad and arcade sticks should work right out of the box. If you are using a DirectInput-based device such as Sony’s DualShock 4 game pad, you may need to install a third party XInput emulator/wrapper that translates DirectInput calls into XInput calls. While we cannot endorse or validate third party software, you can search for “directinput to xinput wrapper.” If you’re using a DualShock controller, search for “DualShock Controller on PC.”
Review is fair - I've not personally had any gamebreaking bugs, but had to kill AO and AA in order to have a smooth experience and that doesn't take care of the weird pauses between turns or when waiting for an animation to play out.
That said - I still adore everything about this game and none of the above has dampened my enthusiasm for it.
