So far my favourite card might actually be Kara Kazahm, because it represents the first baby step towards a glorious future where Cho'Gall is playable. I don't think Kara Kazahm alone will make it happen, but come the next expansion I'll have my fingers crossed for more hot Cho'Gall buffs. Gotta keep hope alive and resist the temptation to dust him.
@joshth: The move to CBS announcement was totally pancakes. Chili day was in the lead up before the announcement, they shot some quicklooks I think, something to do with street fighter?
@cornbredx: One I forgot to mention in my post was 10 Cloverfield Lane. That could have been my favorite film this year so far, and I still love a lot of things about it, but I really dislike that ending. I don't dislike that there's aliens, I think it's actually a good twist, but the way Winstead's character destroys that ship downplays the realism and suspense that the preceding 80 minutes build. Perhaps I'm the only person who'd want this, but I wish the film would have slammed to credits as soon as Winstead's character jumps on the truck, notices the alien ship coming, and proclaims, "Oh, come on!"
While I agree some of the specifics of the ending kind of ratcheted up the cheese too much, I think your version of the ending wouldn't have worked. She needed to fight and defeat the alien to complete the process of retaking the power and agency that was ripped from her when she was abducted. Having her spend 2 hours saving herself from her captor only to be confronted by his metaphorical stand in without any resolution would have been super unsatisfying. Nothing would have been accomplished, the story a wash. The ending sequence was a bit rushed and a bit cheesy, but I think it was necessary.
The play a friend quest is a pretty rad idea, more quests valued above 40 gold is extremely welcome. I've never bothered to grab one of the alternate hero skins but this one seems easy enough that I might as well. Solid update.
I imagine it'll get some talk in a broken out category but I think there's no chance it even gets considered for the site top 10. Alex, Drew and Jeff are indifferent to the franchise and I don't remember any of the other guys showing much passion for it. Barring possibly Jason I think only Austin has even finished it?
It's a great game, and for my money a significant step up from Bloodborne, but unless interest gets renewed later in the year I wouldn't expect it to get much play on the 'casts.
