Of course! The staff have been looking for a woman, but for obvious reasons you can't hire someone just based on gender. It's hard enough to find someone with drive, talent, and that mingles well with the group. Let alone find someone belonging to a specific group of people. But any opportunity for diversity is always good. However, the professional qualities should come first. This is applicable to most jobs.
I guess my biggest non typical quality is being good at taking harassment.
Did I miss something? Did they hire you?!
If I remember correctly he was an intern there for a week before his job with the armed forces shipped him off to a conflict zone. Or maybe that was a different Steve.
No, that was me. I was there for roughly 3 weeks. And no, as of now I no longer work at Giant Bomb. But my name is in the hat, so we'll see!
It's a good phrase that's really just used to be an asshole and shuts out any real conversation. I'm also willing to bet every single time that phrase is used, it's coming from a person of privilege. Maybe not the most privilege, but if you live in the western world and have access to Internet, you have little right to make someone feel bad about their privilege. I'm speaking very generally.
