I graduated with my bachelors in Electrical & Computer Engineering not too long ago but took a bunch of physics courses up to senior level Electromagnetism and y'all have my respect. My head still hurts thinking about it, but yeah -- physics is cool even though I can only handle so much physics as an engineer before I start going off like the ICP in Miracles. But hey, physicists, we can be friends!

I got to Fourier transforms in my physics education before I NOPED out of it

True story, I almost didn't make it to graduation because of a hardcore Linear System and Signals professor who gave us the craziest Fourier transform problems during exams. One of the most stressful periods of my life before one of my most miraculously clutch moments of scoring just enough to finish my degree!

To answer some of your last two questions: we had mad physics labs, but they were not as report-crazy as the engineering ones I had to do. Engineering labs get really crazy with data collection and analysis. Also, I still don't regret being an engineer, as much as I continue to respect my physicist contemporaries out in the world. ;_;7

The Fallout 3/NV floating skeletons that spazz out on the air or through the ground were always super freaky!

Also, I don't know if this counts, but I have a few hilarious "glitch-y" gifs:

Is this even real?
Is this even real?

Also my personal favorite, one of the WWE 2kXX's in which a glitch causes the most amazing Dolph Ziggler sell ever (Alex tweeted this once and ever since I keep it handy!):

I wonder if CBSi considered how many hits this site generates off of "NCP" queries alone when they decided to acquire this site!

I adopted two cats and can hardly fathom how devastating it'd be to lose them. I once had a guinea pig that passed away and I literally, personally buried her when I was much younger, though, and that was definitely a tough experience for me.

So yeah, yo, I'm sending positive vibes your way through the Internet~ ♥

I think it's 3D Realms no one is going to want to work with. 3DR sold all of the Duke Nukem IP rights to Gearbox, and then they tried to licence Duke to another developer to make a new game. You can't sell an IP and then try to keep using and making money from it. That'd be like Epic trying to licence out GoW after they sold the IP to Microsoft. It seems especially crummy since Gearbox kind of took a bullet for 3DR by buying Duke and releasing Forever.

As you note there is at least actual legal justification for Gearbox escalating the case with 3D Realms; nevertheless, the issue with having twodifferent legal issues escalated from Gearbox's end over the last few months will likely damage their finances and future publishing deals. They'll likely be compounding the legal fees incurred on their part between the case against 3D Realms in addition to whatever they're trying to pull on SEGA regarding the class action lawsuit. I would be surprised if they ever work with SEGA again after this, either, and it may extend to discourage other publishers as well.

I also highly doubt 3D Realms would've even been able to generate much revenue from whatever they're working with in the first place, let alone even finish developing it. I mean it was supposed to be an isometric shooter.

Even though the terms of the restructuring aren't quite specific yet, I think it's safe to consider it is the end of an era. Although, arguably, the "end of an era" honor could go to Miyazaki confirming he was retiring last year. (I do remember reading something a while back along the lines of Miyazaki strongly believing that Studio Ghibli as we remember it would be unable to continue as is without him, so a restructuring at the least does seem sound from this perspective)

I also did read that during this restructuring phase they'll be preparing for the "next generation," however, so there's hope that they'll be able to move forward, maybe even acquire some fresh talent, and get into doing features again. That might be too hopeful on my part, however, since as I recall they are actually not doing so hot financially.

I really hope 'When Marnie Was There' gets subbed or dubbed and brought over, but the chances seem slim, given, if I remember right, Disney have exclusive redist rights on Ghibli stuff.

To my understanding Studio Ghibli's international arm actually does have complete English subs, so it's likely we will at least get those. The question is from who and when.

I'm cool with blaming SEGA for everything. Just, in life in general.

"Ouch! Sonuva, why was this LEGO on the floor? Come on, SEGA."

"Dammit, they got my McDonalds order wrong. Why would you do this to me, SEGA?"

"I honestly can't believe Israel and Palestine are still fighting. When are you gonna stop the madness, SEGA?"

"Thanks, SEGA" is less syllables, so I might just shift the blame of anything socioeconomic or political in nature to SEGA as well!

I do think this move demonstrates some shady integrity on Gearbox's part for throwing SEGA under the bus over a game that they themselves had a huge hand in developing (demo builds definitely count) at the end of the day. As much as I don't want to defend SEGA for being dumb about their advertising (SEGA even admitted to it -- in fact Randy Pitchford himself acknowledged bad advertising not explicitly exclusive to SEGA's part over Twitter), I don't think SEGA should necessarily take all the blame to the point of being the sole defendant on a class action lawsuit over a game Gearbox developed and had a hand in shipping even if SEGA was the publisher.

Also, apparently Gearbox sued 3D Realms a few months ago about the use of Duke Nukem... I don't think a lot of people are going to want to collaborate with Gearbox anymore after this series of events.

Still loving Aldnoah even two episodes removed from Urobutcher writing episodes: Inaho continues to impress with his tactics, successfully using explosive reactive armor to hold off a superior mech in klose kombat long enough to score an underwater stage fatality. Also, OH! COLLUSION! (although more likely deception) seems to be going on with regard to certain areas of intrigue between Mars and the Orbital Knights.

@hamst3r: Princess Jellyfish has one of my favorite openings with all of its movie references. I'd love to see a second season. I don't know if they're just waiting for more material, since the manga is still going, or if they're holding off until after the live-action movie in December.

Gosh, I could totally get behind more Princess Jellyfish.
