Yay! Gratz, Abby! Thanks for the show.
This was a great podcast series. It was a joy to listen to it this past year+. Thank you!
I've only read this in forum posts and need to see if it's mentioned in at least a tool tip in the game, but apparently the 4 different element effects (fire, acid, ice, and electricity) have damage bonuses and reductions against different health. To the effect of ice having +25% to shields and -25% to armor, acid doing -50% to shields and +50% to armor, or something like that. As with a lot of things to Anthem, I wish this was more clearly told.
I expected a 2 star review and I agree with it. I'm having fun in my first few hours of the game, though I did get it as a freebie.
The flying around, the power suits, I even think the shooting is alright... there's just enough special here to keep me hanging on. As over eager and plain the story and characters are, I find myself endeared to my early interactions with Owen and the country/nation/state/place of Bastion.
Playing this game and watching Mass Alex 2 makes the quality gap of Anthem stark and dismal, but I really hope Bioware is allowed the chance to make Anthem better.
I'll probably end up with this game by the end of the year because I just love the flying around (also, I'm not expecting Daemon X Machina to temper its frame rate drops). Looking at how Battlefield V was treated as it was sold, Anthem might be on some deep discounts sooner rather than later!
I enjoyed my time with the demo, but wasn't inspired to be with the game day one.
DOA is back, baby!
@vicious17: I was among those that were waiting for how fast they would be walking back on those words. This happened nearly exactly with the Dead or Alive 5, and we all know how many costumes that eventually got!
It's anime o'clock in the Switch! I'm so happy to see the 3DS 2D stuff of Dragon Quest 11 make it on the Switch version.
To all those left cold: That's okay. Nothing here spoke to you, and that happens with art. Feeling apathetic is fine.
Lastly to the Pokemon and Animal Crossing people: Hang in there, our times will come!
Seeing how much the series means to its fans is so good and pure. I hope Kingdom Hearts III will be good for you and everyone.
Giving Brad all of my assignment energy.
Good show, C Team!
I think I really need to get Cytus II.
Oh, this game is so good. We're finally home on Strangereal again!

It's bugging me how missiles just awkwardly change direction when close to the target. It looks pretty silly.
I noticed this too. I was like "oof."
I think it's partly because the camera stops following the movement of the very fast missile. It's always looked this way when you use the missile came, so I'm used to how it looks. But the later Project ACES games definitely have missiles and planes cheat, especially when it's against the player.
