And that was E3.
Cheers on this "Best of!"
Jeff's enthusiasm for Doom Eternal gives me life.
The music video for the licensed song is something else.

We have reached new levels of Peak Dan-ism
Just because something is weird or incomprehensible doesn't make it "high" (whatever that means) art Abby.
I think that's a frequently-occurring component. As for "high art" and "low art", to try to avoid the trip falls of being insensitive to class, I've always thought of it as some undefined amalgamation of an artist's aim and the audiences perception. Which means I think it's highly subjective bullshit! But's bullshit I love.
Hideo Kojima is not a subtle creator and his metaphors tend to be a blunt force. That still makes him one of the few video game developers (especially in the budget range he fortuitously commands) that aims for something significantly different and, at times, difficult compared to his (similarly budgeted) peers. That counts for something, I think. What exactly... I'm not sure.
But it's exciting for me, none the less.
Finally, a game to dedicate to the Dan and Alex(is) OTP.
In one sense, it can be disheartening that the marketing spiel has never changed and has always been some level of bullshitting and bravado and misplaced hopes.
In another sense, it's entertaining to watch and see it refined over time.
Lost Odyssey is a good, classic/stately JRPG that I can see how it can be one's favorite JRPG. What sticks with me from that game are the excellent short stories that serve as interludes to the main story.
"why are they wasting their time with this?"
Rhetorical question, or honest one? At this point, I consider it a sacred ritual for a new video game platform. It's like a christening, except with zombies and Quick Looks.
Braving that Death Star II escape was worth it for the true ending theme, Yub Nub.
Such a good chill stream. Between watching the story mode of MK9 and that launch trailer of MK11, I'm in a happy Mortal Kombat mood.
Gratz, Ben! You could've missed that goomba as it was falling, but you took the key!
