@csl316: Shiny new video game toy will always attract a certain amount of editors and critics. Case in point: Patrick Klepek seems to be digging it to.
The Playdate always felt it was riding along the Pretentious Spectrum in a manner that felt charming rather than snake-oily.
I think y'all have fair criticisms. Man, Wii Sports Resort is so good. I played so much of the Air Sports exploration mode.
On this game appearing thin, I somewhat agree with that. Especially when compared to all the games stuffed in Wii Sports Resort. Hearing that Golf is only coming in a update in the fall of this year lends to how weak Switch Sports is as a package.
... But then I took a gander on how much the game is on the web store of the Nintendo eShop and apparently the game is only US$39.99. Retail is $49.99 because of the included leg strap accessory.
Guess it a bit get what you pay for? Maybe there's a motion control bowling game on Switch, but I haven't heard of it.
The Ninja Hideaway track is, I believe, a concurrent release on Mario Kart Tour and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe's Booster Course Pass. And that's kinda neat.
I've been too online and have seen/read the haranguing and discourse on how the tracks in the Booster Course Pass look. For me, I'll take the touched-up mobile ports after getting Mario Kart 8 Deluxe on sale during the March 10th sales. I ain't getting from Nintendo for buying Mario Kart 8 and its DLC on Wii U, after all.
Respect to those that are disappointed with how the tracks look, or that a Mario Kart 9 is now farther off.
For every good Platinum... a bad Platinum must exist.
From what I've gathered from Liam Robertson and some others, rumor has it that this game used to be very different until Square things happened. Maybe we'll get the full picture later, or maybe we'll never know what happened to this game since it's 2018 trailer.
