This is such a shame coming from Arkane. I loved the Dishonored series and 100% completed Prey. Deathloop had an interesting premise but got too repetitive. All those games featured fantastic exploration: massive maps with multiple pathways to suit different play styles.
This is just so uninspired. Visually impressive in parts but that alone does not carry a game.
Difference in the final product is day and night when it comes to passion vs. profit.
I know a 3/5 isn't necessarily a negative review but it's weird to hear Jeff call the original Mario+Rabbids "really really great," after giving it that score.
3 out of 5 is a fitting score imo. I do agree the gameplay itself is fantastic, but it just dragged on for longer than it needed to and just became too repetitive without new mechanics. You can certainly have too much of a good thing.
Anyone else finding this game's aesthetics a bit bland and uninspired? Compared to say Sanctum 2, Orcs Must Die 2 and Dungeon Defenders which have more appealing and colourful visuals.
Also these types of tower defence games are typically more enjoyable when played in co-op I find.
Even though I don't own No Man's Sky, I have to give props to the devs for sticking to the game and continuing to provide updates and new contents years after release. I honestly thought after all the flak the game caught they would just cut their losses and abandon the game.
I think I might actually get this game once my backlog clears.
I wanted to try DoA 5, but the amount of DLCs was such a turn off. Hope they don't do the same to this one, considering other fighting games on the market right now (Tekken, Dragon Ball FighterZ, Soulcalibur) deal with DLCs in a much more reasonable way.
From what I've read about this mode, both players are in their own 'world' but they can see each other and their target. To score a point you need to kill your target unnoticed and the body cannot be found. Once a player kills their target successfully the other player has about 20 seconds to kill their target to score a point as well.
You can also see how the other player kills their target (hence Jan seeing the ghost (Dan's) target ragdoll after getting sniped), but your own target is still unaffected and needs to be killed by you still.
