The Chromecast button isn’t showing up for me at all. I’m on the iOS 13 beta, but other apps (like Video Buddy) are working fine, so I’m not sure if that’s it.
Been really loving the new design so far, it makes browsing and watching the archives a lot easier, and the new show logos are awesome.
Would you guys consider adding Chromecast support to the site? Google I believe has a Cast SDK that works in iOS as well as Android. It would mean I can use the site and it’s new features (like shows and watch lists etc) without having to rely on the aging Video Buddy app.
I don’t know if this is a Chromecast problem or a Burger problem, but after my Chromecast took the 1.30 update this week, Burger won’t resume a saved playback position anymore. Unwatched videos play fine.
After using this for a few weeks, I have some feedback:
• Video position isn't synced if streaming to Chromecast and the app isn't open when the video finishes or is paused. Other Chromecast apps seem to be able to do this, hopefully that can be fixed here too.
• Having the growing number of video categories scroll across the top of the screen is kinda uncomfortable design. As phones get larger, I feel like this would be more comfortable if it was closer to the bottom of the screen. I'd prefer a more easily browsable vertical list, personally.
• It would be nice if the last-used playback quality was remembered, rather than having to set it each time.
• The ability to download videos to watch offline would be great.
Otherwise, this is my preferred app for watching Giant Bomb now.
