@asmo917: I did something very similar but I got out of the area just a little differently:
I ended up using D-Horse. I jumped on him after fultoning the truck and hauled ass but ran in a zig zag pattern to avoid Skulls when they popped in front of me. Once you get far enough out they stop chasing and you complete the mission.
I think my new favorite thing is reading these comments before attempting to watch the video and then placing a bet with myself about how long I can get through the episode before I shut it off. I'm going to guess I make it at least half way through this one. We'll see if I was right in a bit.
Edit: made it the whole way through this one. Much better ep overall than the last two.
i personally thought this mission was very poorly designed. not difficult, just not very good. eapecally considering how (seemingly) well thought out the missions before and after this one in the list are.
I don't disagree with you on this. It just didn't feel good and it also didn't feel necessary. Kind of like a tacked in sequence that really pushed you to stealth through it. I didn't love this mission but I also didn't think it was as hard as it seems in this video. I mainly went unseen until after I extracted the viscount and then I went back for the interpreter and ran like hell. It wasn't bad it just wasn't as well put together as most of the other story missions were.
I was thinking about that too. I liked that system in MGS 4 because I always knew if my camo was effective. It would be nice to have an option to surface that here.
And the sneaking suit still has merit but you HAVE to use it at night. During the day it actively makes you easier to spot.
Went into this thinking "Man, this mission is kinda complicated, I wonder if they'll actually pay attention to the objectives"
Nope! Not even the slightest shred of attention!
Also, I really do wish that this game displayed your camouflage rating so that people would realize that the Stealth Suit isn't very good at that. I've pretty much stopped using it entirely in my game.
@oni:I keep starting these episodes and then getting 15 minutes in and turning them off. For some reason this particular series is just more frustrating than silly/fun. I GO INTO EVERY VIDEO WITH SUCH HOPE.
