Little tip that got me past the early teen minutes & into the later game: try to get 2-3 good weapons & focus on getting them leveled up, rather than having a bunch of weapons at a low level. You can go with a bunch of weapons, but you have to get lucky/it lowers your RNG chances of getting a good build going.
Of course, getting some points into the upgrade tree will help a lot just naturally. Takes some time though.
Do you guys remember Deathstate from 2015? Pair that with Crimsonlands and remove the insane neon VCR look and you have this game, minus the Castlevania theme. I think Rorie played that one too. It was a lot of fun.
Edit: Jeff played it on a UPF from 2017
I liked that game a lot, was perfect when listening to the Bombcast or for a quick distraction. Disappointed they didn't come out with a sequel or expansion. Glad you mentioned it, made me watch this; gonna pick it up but wait to play it on the SteamDeck, seems perfect for it.
I loved the Vita - great hardware, not enough great games - so hopefully this lives up to it, on the hardware side. Obviously the games are already there...
