@memu: Yeah I don't understand how that works. You are supposed to keep an enemy alive in order to save Vinny? What kind of logic is that. In my mind, I would want to kill all the enemies in order to safely extract Vinny. At the very least there should be a warning like "Ending the mission now will result in the loss of Cpl. Caravella, do you wish to continue?".

I understand that if you intentionally abort the mission, you leave behind any stabilized soldiers not in the evac zone, but when you are "ending" a mission by killing all hostiles, I would have assumed it works differently, but I guess not.

Originally you had to manually extract everyone before the mission would end. They patched it to end automatically when the last enemy was killed, but soldiers who were Stabilized (but not being Carried) were killed rather than extracted - probably an oversight that was never fixed, yeah :(

@brad Put the speed up if you play any more of the single player, it's still smooth & great :)

And wow, all those sounds are just ingrained into me. I forgot...totally have to buy this, even if just to watch pro replays ^_^

Looks fun to me, a good "filler" game down the line...

I remember only ever liking the first (Green Hills?) and Casino/Pinball levels in Sonic. The first being easy enough to fly through and the other just being neat.

Do you think Sonic games would be better if the camera wasn't centered so you could see (to the right) where you are going fast?

You often don't just go right, can't see that working.

Can I make a quick appeal to the comments here? Let us make mistakes! Because boy, we're gonna, especially at the beginning as we're all getting back into the groove with the game. Feedback and strategy tips are very useful, but I see at least a few people tearing their hair out because of mistakes we've made in these first few episodes. I get it, but you're going to have no fun at all with this if you can't allow us to fuck up royally.

That said, reminders about research/adjacency bonuses are very helpful, and I'll keep that stuff in mind for next time...

...if there is a next time.

Even the people who are frustrated/complaining mostly follow it up with how much they like it. No worries this is gold :D

@skuupinYeah I get ya. Been too long since I've played to really remember, but sounds about right for XCOM :)

Three mechtoids spawn on their first turn, and there's me with no MECs of my own. I don't know how to deal with them via conventional combat rifles.

By that time you should have more advanced weapons/Heavies with the anti-mech abilities, or you're pretty much screwed yeah. I remember having to start over at least once there, for the same reason.

Ninja Theory is the only developer I can think of off the top of my head whose games have gotten better every single time. Enslaved: Odyssey to the West nailed everything but the actual gameplay, DmC Devil May Cry tidied that up...been excited for this game since before it came out.

Glad to hear it's at least "good", and am now already excited for their next game :D
