@Stang: my dear self-centered friend.....did i not tell you i was going to be MIA for the better part of TWO MONTHS! I'm back and rusty as hell....i think i dropped like 200GP in a row this weekend. We will play....no hiding here.
probably the first app I've paid more than $4 for and I don't regret it one bit. I was pretty skeptical at first but after reading how decent it it I figured why not. It's totally STREET FIGHTER ON YOUR PHONE. I can see it growing old pretty fast and I wish I had someone else to play multiplayer with.
The controls are actually very good for what it is. I like how they let you rearrange the entire layout, however you want which is nice. The fact that you can SRK->FADC->ultra with ryu on your phone is insane.
" Yeah, I'm not very good at this game either. I've only played a few hours so far; haven't picked a character to stick with. I did beat the arcade mode on very easy, though! I'd love to add the gamertags of some other people that aren't good at this. Any takers? GT: NoBull6 "
Man I would have to say that of all the new characters added to SSF4, Dudley is most intriguing to me to play. I didn't really play him much in 3rd strike but thinking SSF4 he should be pretty awesome.
"Looking for some unique Marvel vs. Capcom 2 (my favorite fighting game) art to inspire me to do my own stick mod. Question: Is the Hori EX2 easy to mod. What type of parts are in this stick already? do I really need to replace the stick too? I like the square gate but the ball I could change for color scheme. Thanks . "
I posed above (and the rest of the pics are in my profile) I have a modded EX2. I'll be 100% honest and say that the mod is a lot more work than is needed. At the time I did it, it was when SF4 just came out and sticks were few and far bewtween. The parts that are in the EX2 are pretty much garbage, I felt as though the buttons were way too sticky and not responsive. I used this guide to swap out the stock buttons for some SanwaOBSF-30s. The hard part was all the soldering that's involved with getting the Sanwa's to connect to the PCB already in the Hori EX2.
My suggestion, save your trouble and just get a SE or TE stick. The SE is better out of the box than the EX2 and is a lot easier to mod if you chose to later on. The TE is just great all around and super simple to change. Let me know if you need any help, should you want to attempt modding the EX2.
I recently started being aware enough to use crouch teching...it's one of the many awesome tools you talk about in your video. Having it all in a nice format saves the time of scouring forums and reading into the technical crap you sometimes find on SRK.
