The original Assassins Creed had some great ideas and it did turn out to be a great game for 2007 but i thought there was something missing that could make the sequel better in every way possible.
Well they did it! They finally added variety in the game and made the story more mysterious and exciting. but the reason why its the best of 2009 is that it had shitloads of brilliant ideas that i would never expect to work in a game like this.

Special Ops was pretty much the reason why this game is on this list as random challenges to play with friends for hours and end is pretty damn fun. The only down part was that the story was ridiculously stupid and over paced and the multiplayer had some very bad issues at the start that douche players seem to abuse. but in general it was a good game but hardly worthy of its predecessor.

Although borderlands isn't the best for visuals or story, it got on this list because of the insane madness and sense of humour it contained with the addition of an over exaggerated number 1 of bazillion guns XD. although I would advice playing with a friend or two to get the games full potential otherwise you WILL get bored.

The destruction system is one of the most complex and advanced systems I have ever seen and the amount of fun I had with just a sledgehammer itself is just mind blowing, the story isn't the greatest and the environment can get pretty bland when you do eventually blow everything up but the game also has a mutliplayer which can get very addictive.
