My top ten games of 2009

I would like to point out a few exceptions. I did not play Killzone 2 and Infamous enough to have them on my list. Also I could not get into Borderlands because I didn't have anyone to play it with(Maybe some day I hope). Any Spelling or grammar errors I have made I appolgize for.

  • This was the hardest choice I had to make. So many games were worthy of my number 1 spot. simply put this games improves on everyone of the first games flaws. It's story captivated me and made me want to play more games of that setting and era. I felt like this game made me feel satisfied to the extent that I didn't need any extra replay value. Whether it be planning your assassinations from the shadows or riding a gondala through Venice this game must be played.

  • Second place? As stated above this was a hard decision for me. The single player was one of the most over the top action rollercoaster I have played. The story may have been a little weaker then it's predecessor but it's mission structure was superb. But when you are buying this game you are not buying it for the single player you are buying it for the online. Engaging, addictive, rewarding: these are the words that describe Modern Warfare 2. You should already have this game.

  • This game set the bar for me this year. I was amazed by the level of detail and craftmanship that was put into this game. The story and game play were finally tuned to the extent of me wanting explore every part of Arkham Asylum . The voices of the original actors helped drive me forward if only to hear what joker would say next. It was not a dark night when I played this boy wonder........okay that didn't sound right.

  • This game is the most cinematic experience I have witnessed a while. This is Indiana Jones in the best way possible. So many OMG moments I have probably ever had. Every new area was a breath of fresh air. Between the puzzles and exploration I found myself blown away from most set pieces. This is the best reason to own a PS3.

  • Left 4 Dead 1.5? Hell Nooooo!!! Scavenge mode is crazily addictive. The levels are exciting and fresh. The new infected help create new water cooler moments that make you laugh even if you are the one being pounded into the dirt. I think what sets this versus mode apart is it's not about killing but sabotaging the enemy team as much as possible. Now if only more people were playing it instead of Modern Warfare would I feel better about my purchase.

  • Okay if you know me well you were probably expecting this at the top. This game was an expansion. It was well polished and added new features and style to a franchise that needed it. I love the Halo universe and I felt that while this game was good it was not new enough the warrant a higher score. Drop in and explore then go back to L4D and COD until Halo Reach of course.

  • Well at least now I can say I play more the just Smash bros on my Wii. This game is great but just like Gauntlet Dark Legacy, expect to loose some friends. The Koopa bros were good enough but adding the ice flower and co op were choices that put it over the map. I finally have a game where I can play with casaul friends and I don't have to feel like the most legit there. Only two bad things: WTF no Racoon suit and less Yoshi then usual.

  • This is the best single player XBLA game there is. If this was any closer to a 2d metroid game, Samus would need a restraining order. Chair lost me with Undertow but I forgive them for everything because of this game. Can't wait for the sequel so long as there is no co op.

  • Good but could have been better. The story was fun if weak. The gameplay was familar but uninspired. The thing that makes this game great is Co op. Now if they fix the controls I will look forward to the next installment.

  • I like metal more because of this game. Tim made a good game with humor and heart. The world of metal is strange but beautiful.
