Complaining about the price of a remake of an old game, hours after the reveal is pretty lame.

What? Why?

I don't really care how good at the game they are that's not really why I watch people play games but just in case they see this comment here's a little friendly piece of advice: commit to a jump location. Being the first one on the ground picking up stuff is more important than getting to a specific location with the possibility of getting something good. Be quick, be responsive, be spicy. In my experience, you're more likely to get good loot by killing people then finding it in the wild.

Anyways this was a fun watch, hope to see you guys play more!

I find all the saltiness about this not being Titanfall 3 to be really silly but I can say they shot themselves in the foot by tying this into Titanfall at all. Still, this isn't Titanfall, there will probably be a Titanfall in the future, and it's cool if you don't like BR games but it's kind of silly just to blanket say that because this is BR and/or not Titanfall that it automatically sucks. With that said I don't know, do what you want.

Wall running would've been nice but the maps don't seem made for that anyway so it's whatever as far as I'm concerned. Anyway, seems like a cool new thing from guys that know how to make cool new things. I'm interested to see where it goes.

@darkaileron: Dan may not know a good many things but vocabulary is one area he excels in. Guarantee he knows the word "reverie" but that might be saying more about Ben than Dan.

Like how what do they do for the rest of the day?

Developer interviews, article writing, conference planning, travelling, Podcast writing, industry research, coordination between two studios, game reviewing, etc. etc.

You know, "not making QLs for our amusement" doesn't mean "not working".

The last developer interview was months ago, there's no written articles by the crew (except for Rories community stuff) and hasn't been for months either, traveling stuff happens like once a year, podcasts are not written they are recorded mostly live, what kind of research? What coordination beyond a "release schedule" is really needed?

When is the last time you've "read" a review? Those are by now also "off-the-cuff" podcast style recordings, with out of context stock-footage played over it, GT did that kind of stuff way better over a decade ago.

Don't get me wrong, I couldn't really care less, but it feels like a legit question these days. Many people still remember times when the crew was small and it felt like you were 24/7 up-to-date with what was going on and what they were doing.

A lot of that feels lost since the move back to CBS and the split into East and West, and in that context one really has to wonder what all the duders, and the dudette, are doing all day long during those slow weeks were maybe 1 QL gets uploaded.

Maybe that's an idea for a new video feature: What goes on at GB when they ain't recording themselves playing video games? Make it something regular, like the unboxing videos used to be.

I love how this topic is brought up once every 6 months or so and the conversation never really deviates beyond two people making assumptions about what people do outside of the end product made for them to consume.

Who cares? They work for a huge corporation. If they aren't working or doing their job or fulfilling the needs of the company that employs them someone in charge of that will make sure it's happening. We don't know what happens when the cameras are off and that's probably by design. Just because you don't see it doesn't mean nothing is happening. Just because the staff puts a lot of themselves in their videos doesn't mean you have to know every aspect of what they do. Things have changed since the early days of the site but why does that translate into feeling more entitled to know exactly what their day to day is like? No matter what they do the end product is putting shit on the site. I can only assume what they do day to day is for that purpose and the rest is not important or simply not for us to know.

I get being curious and that's fine but the entitlement vibes I'm getting from this rubs me the wrong way.

I respect the decisions here. Still sad over Celeste being slept on but it is what it is. It's a great list, thank you to the GiantBomb crew for hashing it out along with everything else you gave us this year. See you in 2019!
