James Mielke put uptwo huge blogposts today. Long story short, he was rehired by 1up after the takeover by the Kane... I mean Hearst empire. This begs the question, though: why was he even let go in the first place? Pay dispute? Anguish over EGM dying? Wanted some time off? I DEMAND ANSWERS.

Congrats to him, and hopefully this puts an end to the "1up is going to suck now" meme...

I am glad to hear that he is back. It will never be the same, but that's ok. Change is disliked.. but good things can come from it.

Great news, although I have to agree with roofy here: While it is great that he has a job again, it will definitely tough to make esp. the hardcore audience feel completely at ease with the new situation there again. I'm also really curious about how that change of mind about whether or not he should have a job with 1UP came about.
