Thanks Rorie. As hard as it's hit all of us, I just can't imagine what all of you are going through. You guys take all the time you need, then come back and we'll work through this together.

We're 100% behind Giant Bomb, and this ridiculous tragedy doesn't change that, it reinforces it. One look at the forums proves that Ryan and Jeff didn't just build another video games website, they built an institution, and a huge source of comfort and community for thousands. That's a hell of a legacy.

Sorry guys, one more link. I just keep finding things that really hit me. Justin Ouellette wrote a great thing at Geekosystem that touches on how it's hard to explain how hard this can hit you, even if you never met him. It's crazy howuniversally loved and respected Ryan was.

That dude seemed to be living exactly the life he wanted to live, and really, almost no one pulls that off. I know I'm not, not even close. So as cheesy and trite as it sounds, I really do want to try to live more the way he did.

I upgraded my account yesterday. It was the best way I could think of to show Giant Bomb my support.

I've just been wandering around in Skyrim and listening to old Bombcasts. Not sure if it helps, but it makes me feel like I'm doing something.

If anyone feels like tearing up to a couple tributes from his friends, Jenn Frank on her Tumblr and Justin McElroy on Polygon both wrote really beautiful pieces.

I know exactly what you mean. I'm the only person in my group if friends into Giant Bomb. I even posted about it too. But I think we should own it. Just because it was one-way, doesn't mean it wasn't real. Ryan's been a constant presence in our lives for years. We've lost our friend.

Jenn Frank mentioned this in her post about Ryan. Trigger warning, if you're the least bit suseptable to tearing up, this might do it. It's worth it though, it's a really pretty tribute and just adds to the feeling that no one's going though this alone. Ugh.
