In no specific order, games that I would possibly create a "Best games of all time" list from. There are probably a few hundred games I have completely forgot about after 30 years or just never got to play so don't take it personal. These games kept me coming back, left an amazing impression on me at some point, and were just fun to play.
I'll modify the list as I go along, I'm sure I will find new ones and remember older ones that I missed.
My favorite of the Zelda series, it was so good they brought it back for a modernization in 2013's "A Link Between Worlds."
As far as I can remember this was the best 16-bit RPG in every way possible.
The most fun I ever had with a driving game. Gran Turismo never reached this level of fun for me again, I am still waiting for the next great installment.

I have spent well over a thousand hours playing Pirates! since someone bought it for me way back in the 80s. The Amiga port is my favorite but all of them were good enough.

The number one 8-bit RPG
More in-depth than Oblivion and mechanically better than Morrowind. It was 200 hours of fun.
