2020 is almost over and I think the only 2020 release I played was the C&C remaster.

Please don't do YouTube live streams. They won't work in most places outside the US. I can't watch Austin's stream because "this content is not available in your country"

I think Germany is the only country blocked, due to GEMA stuff.

I've been keeping an eye on this game for quite a while too, mainly because it bears a striking resemblance to Future Cop: LAPD.

Yes dude this is the reference I was thinking of that they didn't mention. Reminds me a lot of that game, which I liked.

But this game has a great sense of style all its own.

Heh, yeah, it was kinda funny hearing Austin talk about "Desert Strike but in a cyberpunk setting", since Future Cop LAPD was exactly that - it was even part of the Desert Strike series until pretty late in development. It did have PS1 era polygonal graphics that don't hold up well though, so I'm happy to see that Brigador went with Tiberian Sun style 2D art instead, because Tiberian Sun is still one beautiful game.

Huh, I didn't know these were on Atari ST too, I've always thought of them as the quintessential Amiga games. Of course most of the Amiga games were on the other platforms as well, but as they - unlike Personal Nightmare and Waxworks, never made their way onto PC, I kinda assumed they were Amiga exclusive.

I'd love to have them in my ST collection if it wasn't for that amount of floppies and copy protection. I really hope these will make it onto GOG at some point.

1992 would have been around the last time I kinda kept up with F1. Apparently that baseball stadium wasn't around back then, but something about the track still looked a little familiar.

I own the Genesis version of Xenon 2, and yeah, it's not a great shoot 'em up, but the intro music is still rad. I'm not big into shoot 'em ups either, but of the Atari/Amiga era I'm more fond of the side scrolling R-Type clones than the top down ones.

Yup, Event Horizon is one of few horror movies I've found really scary. along with the original Japanese The Ring. I'm not even sure what about Event Horizon makes it so effective, since so much about it is very detached from anything you'd ever experience yourself (whereas it was the everyday setting and technology that made The Ring what it is, or at least was back in 2000 when I actually watched it on a VHS tape).

The GUNHED references just makes me want a roguelike properly based on that movie so much more. The plot where the main character has to climb a hundred floor tower within 24 hours to stop a rampant AI from launching nukes is pretty much the classic 80's Rogue formula to begin with.

Looks better than I had anticipated. Not really into the parody side of newer FMV games, but as those go, this seems pretty fun. I'll probably pick it up on sale.

@jeff You should just make the last slogan you had on the site permanent, because the shop music in Hot Rod is still rad.
