Need to be careful about DVT (deep vein thrombosis). I was unaware of such a condition for such thing as gaming but I was pulled up short by t his rather tragic post over on Eurogamers forums.
One of the most egregious omissions is Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown, where the fuck is it??? Surely the resurgence of fighting games would make this the best time to put it out to consoles, what's more, most of the work is already done and sitting in Japanese arcades.
SEGA is just a brand now, like Atari; it's soul flew way long ago.
i want to add my vote. Dave's Radio Show should be Whiskey Media's own podcast; one to chat with fans and talk about anything outside the purview of the other sites. Would be fantastic. Agree that weekly is probably asking too much; monthly would be cool.
@Pie: IF what you say is true, that's still $15 for 2 months fun. Multiplayer is awesome, 16 v 16 battles, dedicated servers and it has a server browser!! One of the better ways to spend 1200ps on XBL imo.
I rated it a 9. Great soundtrack, visual style and gameplay. Story was a bit naff but Faith was a cool protagonist. Loved the fact you could play a first person game without having to shoot anything. I actually enjoyed the combat.
I'll be there day 1 for the sequel should it ever surface.
My lot of po-faced gamers out there. Saints Row 2 was great if you never took it seriously (i feel sorry for those that did) What was great about it was that the current state of your avatar was incorporated into the cutscenes, which injected much needed hilarity to the gangster bullshit storyline. Forget about all that shooting shit stuff, the humor was when your hotdog-costume-wearing cockney granny was holding court.
I REALLY hope they up the customisation and (most importantly) more voices for SR3.
