If only I could list as many reasons as to why you should read my GOTY list in particular. I wouldn't be spending as much time on an internet forum posting about it then, I suppose.
Graphically gorgeous (pop-in aside) but no memorable characters, quests were dull and had you backtrack through areas for different reasons (like Dragon Age 2 oddly enough), world was small, you fight a 8 story beast at one point cause sure and the ending was atrocious
I was going to chime in with an obvious 'Destiny' comment but I think Rage hits the nail on the head more than any game I can think of.
@phoenix6153: It ultimately depends on how much you love the Alien franchise and how patient you are. The game's atmosphere is fantastic and could be described as similar to BioShock but I personally found it to be a chore to play at times. With that said, it's the scariest game I've played this year.
Dungeon Keeper 3 - Whilst it doesn't look like this will be happening any time soon, thanks to EA's murdering of the franchise through Dungeon Keeper Mobile, I still hold out hope. In the meantime I'll be playing War for the Overworld when it's finished.
Aliens vs Predator 2-2 - Monolith's Aliens Versus Predator 2 is superior to both of Rebellion's titles. Give me some more from Monolith!
Fallout 4 - Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas have eaten up more hours of my life than I would care to admit. Enough with the Elder Scrolls! Get me back in the irradiated future!
Vampire: The Masquerade - This series has a fantastic universe that is (un)dying to be explored in another game! Bring it back!
I was disappointed to see the dumbing down of the tactical slots from DA:O too and noticed that the A.I. weren't particularly great at handling particular situations and/or abilities when left to their own devices. I loved the micro-management from the previous titles but felt that it was more out of countering inconvenient A.I. rather than necessary tactics.
Dragon Age: Origins is what Dragon Age: Inquisition should have been.
In terms of how combat was handled, I'd have to agree. However, that's not to say I don't think that improvements have been made within Inquisition, quite the contrary.
It appears either Ubisoft or the Might & Magic team have stepped forward and clarified how much of an improvement the game's graphics in the HD edition are:
