I just moved to another city to study for my master's degree, so this is my new setup (put together yesterday). My PS3 is still packed, but should probably go in the living room.
Oh, the giant lady's head. That freaked me out when I played that game.
I must admit I've never played SH2, though I know I should with everything people say about it. SH3 I found to be amazing, and you really don't need to have played SH1 to understand it.
you're really trying to be this oh so professional, so pc, so down with the intellectual shit.. mr. big man journalist. but these, these are just ruining the quality of this once fine website.
I'm happy to hear how any of these additions to Giant Bomb are impacting the overall quality of the website, and I'm not being sarcastic whatsoever. If you have an actual grievance, feel fee to PM me with details. No one is forcing you to read every article on this website, and part of what I'm trying to do is expand the editorial coverage of the site overall.
Way to go, Patrick!
The article is excellent and I thank you for touching on the subject. In the end, it will accomplish absolutely nothing against fandom everywhere (probably generate more confirmation bias), but touching on the subject is in itself a great accomplishment.
I'm with you on your expansion of editorial coverage and appreciate how you try to bring different views and subjects into focus, even if I may not like a particular article.
One thing I cannot stand about people is that I only ever seem to be speaking to their representative. They have this version of themselves that they show when other people are around. It's hardly entirely accurate and it just tires me putting up with them.
That's what everyone does, including you and me. I recommend reading about the 9 personality types of the enneagram. Everyone hides behind one or more of those.
When you realize people and yourself are like this because of the way you grew up and the influences you got during chidhood, you'll realize it's not their fault. Everyone's just been programmed, so to speak, to act this or that way. And yes, you can change it.
The Bombcast certainly is. I can deal with Quick Look length because I'm being visually stimulated, something that isn't there with a podcast. I either have to sit there and watch the podcast or wander around the web, half-listening to it and forgetting why I did it in the first place.
Exactly my case. Whenever I've tried listening to the podcast (and I admit to not managing to go through an episode to its end) I realized it's been a long time since I stopped paying attention to what was said.
