People, calm the **** down, do you think they'd just go and rape the wallets of all their fans? Hell no. I know people who are obcessed with getting gamerpics and have spent well over a sane amount of cash on them and won't update to it.
And this is just E3 that has shown it, what you see may not be what you would like, but its called a demo, demos are the unfinished product, of course stuff will be refined and remade to suit what people really want, thats why we have the freaking update in the first place.
And the avatars are way better than the Wii Mii's...holy good god they are horrible looking, who wants to play a game where your character looks like an egg with arms and legs...
This is my take really, well lets give this example.
I put you in a room with 3 people, a large room, a room the size of 10 football fields, and I drop in 8 truck loads of really fun gadgets, eventually you get tired and annoyed with their being so many to try out and you lose the will to get them all as you've got to regain your energy to run across the room and pick stuff up, its like releasing 7 great games at one night. People need to take it slow and get bored of things first and get the cash regained to buy again as I don't really know that many who can buy a new game every week. And the companies need time anyway because allot of people refuse to buy games on release for the price, they need to sell an amount of copies first, then reduce the price, wait again and cover costs, then sell again and give up then another game comes out. That and allot of other reasons I reckon. I'm not specialist in business studies and marketing but Im sure theres allot more to it than we'd angrily want to think.
Although I know what you're thinking, "what does he mean get bored of things first, Im bored of freaking Halo god damn 3?" well, I would also bet that you will agree with me on that the window of what MS consider as "getting bored of a game" is extended out a little too wide by sales tactics and guys who don't play xbox making the descicions for MS.
I mean I had enough trouble trying to pay for COD4, Assassin's Creed and Mass Effect all in a couple months.
Well I find that allot of Brits don't know about latency and so follow the crowd that do know, allot of people here in the UK go to Gears because they know if they play it they get to play with a british host or the chance is more likely they will do. Less lag that way for simultaneous or close situations. As the people do that, so do the people that follow the people who follow the original crowd there with that reason.
And Gears is generally a fave game here too, so is RB6, allot of people here from my experience will play the chart games only and only touch the other games on another shelf if they're obcessed with the achievements.
And by no means am I rascist here but this is how my philosophy goes.
Big Game = Big audience = Big proportion of idiots/MLG players/Kids/hey-wanna-help-me-get-that-achievement-plz? guys and the scum of the US and english speaking areas in general which does include Britain, yes we have our assholes too, not just the US. Just a bigger country means more people, thats all.
Although MLG players who moan and show off, and people who can't keep their mouths shut, they are a different breed of idiotic player.
As for the suggestion on the filtering for players locations... Its a problem you can't solve, segregation means no mixing and mingling and getting used to the culture of another country, and yet there will always be idiots who want to see a reason for segregation of greater extremes just because they're raised by idiots or were in solid exposure to idiots with that attitude towards foreigners. They can't see reasons to play together sometimes because they're blinded by stupidity. I don't know if this is the right quote but assuming fear is the reason for the ignorance and faith is the agreement that we can get along, then here goes "Fear denies faith".
As for allot of players who do have ongoing tension between the races, I really suggest that everyone stop being so defensive, you don't have anything to protect if you just stop defending your race in the first place because its outward defence and hostility like that which provokes things and then we all have to live with suspicious minds.
