Looks like crap. And not the quality crap the first three were. This just looks like what I's expect out of a Resident Evil movie if they hadn't made the first few; a rip off of as many movies as possible while cramming in random bad guys from the games.
" Its only fun to hate on avator since that filmmade made money already. tronwill not only get hated on but also probably be a flop financially as well. "
No way. Tron will not flop. It has Disney to back it up and Disney is great with promoting. Tron should appeal to the older audience because, well, it's Tron. And as for the younger audience, it has stylish CGI, that as we've witnessed, can make a LOT of money on it's own.
" The people behind Avatar were selling it as "The greatest movie in the history of mankind!" That's what caused all the hate. "
thats not true at all. the commercials said it would change movies forever. guess what, fact is, it did. every big budget movie, including this here Tron Legacy, is now filmed in sterioscopic 3D, and any movies that were not filmed this way and are due to be released in theaters soon, are being converted to 3D post-production. Also, the CGI technology, which is incredible in Avatar (whoever said it was bad in here is a fucking moron), will also change how CGI is done in films now too. "
Forever does not mean the next 6 months. That's how long I give this 3D BS. And the only thing Avatar did to revolutionize CGI was raise the bar and make any movie that doesn't pump millions of dollars into their CGI, look like shit. "
well i'll save this stupid ass quote for 6 months from now. 3D is absolutely here to stay. Have you actually seen Avatar in 3D?? It truly is the first film to not only have impressive 3D, but to use it in a way that you completely forget about it and it makes the cinematography look so much more amazing, which is why Avatar got the cinematography oscar. when was the last time a 3D movie got the oscar for cinematography?you don't know what you are talking about AT ALL. Avatar's CGI technology. the only reason it cost so many millions is because they came up with SOOOO much new tech. Now, people can do incredible CGI a lot cheaper- for instance, animating the cg characters is out of the window. thats money saved, and actors jobs stay in tact. "
Whatever, bud. You believe what you want and follow your dreams.

And I am excited for Tron Legacy. I often feel that i missed the boat on the Tron love because of it's outdated looks. But now, maybe I can get the whole experience with a prettier looking version of Tron. And Daft fucking Punk. Yes!
