"Sifu the revenge" is a kickstarted short film (in the making) from the action director (and literal sifu of martial arts) of the game, for those interested.

I think I'm very open to most art styles, and then Nintendo's E3 presentation reminded me of danganronpa, which really repels any interest of playing them for me, for as much good stuff I heard about the series.

Cyberpunk 2077 is just disappointing in so many ways.

A more personal pick: New Gundam Breaker - first steam/pc release, first official release in the west, and it's just worse than 3 in so many ways. I believe Austin talks about how disappointing it was on Waypoint Radio as well.

Finally booted up Sonic Generations, buried deep in my backlog for so long.

With 4K upres on the X, this looks super sharp! I'm not a big fan of Sonic, never finished any of his games, but I'll definitely boot this up (very easy with Quick Resume) once in a while and run through the 2D and 3D parts. I don't even mind the 3D parts kind of playing themselves, as they serve as flashing cutscenes.

I remember I mastered FIFA2002 to the point that there was one and only one rhythmic move I could do to get by defenders on highest difficulty. I could win most of the time, but only scored basically 2 type of goals. PES came to PC soon after, I never looked back.

Top 10 strategy game on GOG (sort by user rating, and excluding some random new games on top), so why not. 1994 was too early for me, but I always wanted to check it out. Hope it's good enough to live up to the legacy.

Done with The Show, the grind in career mode just isn't fun, and I can't enjoy pitching (tried them all) as much as the 2K mechanics. Server issues seem to be happening every day, and the "programs" menu is just insane. I tried "random video" on GB today, and got The Bigs 2, man I miss that game, the exact opposite off this convoluted mess.

Also finally tried Sonic Generations on X. Wow that 4K looks sharp! I've never dabbled much with sonic (almost always quitting when I inevitably die in water with the countdown noise stressing me out), but this one was neat. I didn't even mind the 3D sections that kind of play itself (I know this was a complaint on later games too). I just treat them like cutscenes, seeing what the devs could come up with to give a sense of space and speed.

I'll highlight some GOTY discussion stuff:

1. "They killed Mass Effect!" (2017)

2. "You've never played Mass Effect and you just cut it?! %*)@" (2016)

3. Every music section, "wait is this the Donkey Kong bit again Dan?"

For east coast, I really enjoyed Blue Bombin', because it just ends up people not paying much attention to the end and just chatting random stuff.

For west coast, 3AM Boys had such chaotic energy. I wasn't always paying full attention, and rarely could make the live show unfortunately, but every Wednesday morning it shows up in my podcast feed, I think "yeah, I can use a bit of that in my life right now"
