Take a look at this monitor:
https://www.samsung.com/us/computing/monitors/gaming/32--chg70-gaming-monitor-with-quantum-dot-lc32hg70qqnxza/

I linked the 32" because it's on sale for only $50 more than the 27" which would probably be amazing if you have the room for it. I'm not sure if that size a monitor would take away from it being 1440p or not so that's another thing. From what I understand the footprint is rather large as well.
I got Samsung's 27" QLED 144hz 1080p gaming monitor around the holidays and I'm pretty happy with it but man I wish I got this one instead. I'd typically suggest an ASUS (specifically the one you already linked) or another brand that comes to mind when thinking about PC gaming but figured hey, Samsung makes great TVs and phone screens for themselves and other companies why not take a chance.
The HDR isn't really a factor for me but Rtings.com says the 32" model has a peak brightness of 600 nits which I believe is the bare minimum to qualify for HDR. The size, resolution, response time, refresh rate, and colors pretty much tick all the boxes for me with this monitor.
Anyway, just thought I'd add another option! Take a look and happy deciding! : )

This poll is doomed to result in the PS4 one winning because most people have it and will vote for it for that reason alone.

Exactly. Last gen it was pretty much unanimous that the Xbox 360 controller was the best console controller and for PC. All of a sudden that has changed even though the controllers barely have. It's all about I'm gonna vote for the choice I made regardless of reality. hah

As someone that lives their life in the 1st person perspective I have no problem with Cyberpunk being 1st person, in fact I welcome it. Games are always more immersive in 1st person as far as I'm concerned even though I enjoy both 1st and 3rd person games in general.
Everything so far sounds great, read about and watched some interviews about the behind doors demo and everyone seems to by hyped as all hell.
I do feel for people that can't handle playing games in 1st person due to motion sickness or whatever but turning your nose up at it just because eew "another fps" is just silly. Sure CD Projekt Red will knock it out of the park.
Can't wait!

Oh man... What if it was open world but an entire Halo ring world with campaign elements of course. That would be too huge right? Smaller ring world?

I've had a childlike excitement about E3 ever since the first E3 seeing it in magazines and still do (I'm old-er). I just told someone the other day how excited I am and that "this is my multi-day super bowl!"
Don't have time at the moment to list all my hopes about potential announcements (The_Greg mentioned some of mine) but I just wanted to add that it's not all doom and gloom and there are some people out there that don't have cold dead hearts. : D

Pretty sure when you do it to someone you dislike it's more bullying or some type of harassment. Practical jokes are supposed to be fun for both parties.
But yes, I've covered a co-workers monitor with removable labels which he didn't notice until he sat down and sipped his coffee (YES!). Also took part in covering another co-workers entire cubicle and every item within with tinfoil. Make sure you work in an environment that doesn't frown upon such activities.

@clagnaught
A friend of mine who was a designer on Bioshock and Bioshock Infinite developed his own game called Perception which I immediately thought of when you said Gone Home, shorter, narrative focused.

Of course I'm potentially biased here (hah) but I haven't even played it yet and thought you might as well take a look since it sounds like you could be into it. It has a certain style that you'd have to be into I'm sure but won't hurt to look!

I've noticed this or something with The Witcher 3 specifically (maybe this is what you mean). All the movement in the trees and bushes/grass has no randomness to it. It's like the wind is affecting everything in this super fake synchronized type of way which when I went back to The Witcher was pretty jarring to me. It's almost as if everything is underwater being affected in the same way by the same current with no variance to it.
That what you mean? Maybe? : )
