Grand Theft Auto V looks amazing! Why? Tune in and find out!

Mountains, and colors, and backpacks!
Mountains, and colors, and backpacks!

I really enjoyed Grand Theft Auto IV. I would go as far as say that it was my favourite Grand Theft Auto game. Although, sometimes it seems that it's a minority group. So when Rockstar Games put up the teaser which reminded me of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, I was a little bit disappointed. I like the serious and kind of sad story, I loved the city and I really loved that it was less about hoes and more about relationships.

Now... the trailer for Grand Theft Auto V blew me away.If something was missing from Grand Theft Auto IV, it was a world outside Liberty City. Almost immediately we see different landscapes in the trailer and that alone is enough for me. From vinefield to mountains. We saw jets, airplanes and also a bit of serious stuff mixed with a lot of fun. Which is great, a little happier and crazier Grand Theft Auto IV seems fair. I mean, the amount of details are there once again, the world seems open, colourful and huge and most importantly - the main character is fantastic, I love him already! And also... dudes, wine fields, fucking wine fields... And probably my favourite thing - houses for sale!

Anyhow, I'm in love. How about you? What are your thoughts?

I'm going to play Mass Effect 3 [Co-op] on Thursday...

So, I'm going to an event here in Sweden where they will debut the Co-op of Mass Effect 3 and actually let people try it out. Me and my team are going to shoot both radio and video interviews and hopefully they'll let us post a little clip of us playing the game. Now, my question - do you want me to look after anything specific? If so, just post it below. And yes, I am totally going to ask them why they are using "this is the perfect starting point for new players" in every interview.

"You can speak with the dragons"...

"I'm so big, and strong and dangerous. But hit me with your hands and I'll die..."

I hate dragon, I really do. Why? Because they are huge creatures that should kill you by there breathing. The fact that you are standing there, hitting it with your hands and all the sudden it ends up dead is making my OCD go to space. It would be awesome if you saw a dragon, and then in about 3 seconds you'd be dead. Right? Because that's how they role--they kill. The fact that dragons seems to be the big focus in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim freaks me out. Don't get me wrong now, but you can speak with them... You can speak with the dragons? Come on... please.

Anyhow, convince me that this game will be awesome. I haven't seen much from the game but people are speaking of the dragons way too much!

Grand Theft Auto V (FIVE) - Next Generation?

Wow, what an awesome surprise this was. But the logo and timing seems both weird and pretty darn logical. Do you remember Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas? The game launched about a year before the Xbox 360 came out. This might be the same scenario, Grand Theft Auto V launches next year and 2013 we'll se the start of the new console generation. Or is that so? The name is official, the game is called Grand Theft Auto V (FIVE). My question is, would Rockstar Games really kick of a new era of Grand Theft Auto games at the end of a generation? Vice City and San Andreas was both Grand Theft Auto III. I think that this is totally a glimpse of the future and if we saw a "coming 2013" and an announcement from Microsoft/Sony at E3 2012 that this is an exclusive product, I wouldn't be surprised.

What do you think?

Multiplayer comes to Mass Effect 3

Not really a surprise, the description PC Powerplay put on their website is pretty much screaming Co-op, which is kind of what Mass Effect need. For those of you who are a little bit worried-- don't be. You might remember Pinnacle Station for the original Mass Effect, if BioWare puts that into Mass Effect 3 and let you play alongside a friend, then this game just got light years better! As a huge Mass Effect fan, I really like these news. It's clearly no death match kind of deal, right? And also, it's not like they are taking time from the singleplayer! What are your thoughts?

Daily improvisation tracks, part two!

I play a lot of music in two bands and can play a couple of instruments. What I've discovered lately is how letting your feelings out on the guitar neck is probably one of the greatest ways to write music. So I basically sat down today for five minutes, created nine tracks and took one take on each. The drums are just laid down so I have something to play after. So, I am going to keep this up. And once again, this is ONE take per track.

This is nothing fancy. It is what came to my mind those five minutes. Please, if you are a musician - do something similar, I'd love to hear it. It's a fun way of expressing and believe me, you are going to develop as a musician. Also, are you making a game? Let me know if you need some tracks, I would love to create something.

My World of Minecraft: Part One. Blocks, blocks...

Yesterday I said I'll share a couple of photos from the Minecraft server a couple of friends of my are running. So here we go. All you see is in this post is built by me.

AuTThis is the view when you are entering the island. There are some wheat fields to the right but at the time they were harvested. Nothing to fancy. I really wanted to keep it simple and very village-i.

Blocks, blocks, blocks and more blocks. Oh, and another one!

Oh Minecraft. Why? I can't stop ask myself why I'm playing it day, after day, after day, after day. Well, no, I know why I am. It's simply because of the people I'm playing with and the endless ways of building the same thing over and over again. It is about that, to be fair. We've built a lot on our own server and I will probably upload a bunch of images tomorrow. I wanted to stop by now and write a little bit about this game because I really do think that game developers should watch and learn.

I can't stop comparing this game to Harvest Moon (Well, first of all I am using a Harvest Moon skin). It's a simple, beautiful and extremely addicting game. The thing is that when I first saw what people had done I was going like- Jesus Christ how the hell did you do that? Now, I am totally doing those stuff and the stuff I felt was way to hard complicated isn't really that hard to make. You guys see where this is going right? Well yes, it's such an amazing and easy game to dig deeper and deeper in. You can do what you want. Even though some simple objects like chairs are nowhere to be found you can simply take a stair and put a sign on the side and you have a chair. Just use your imaginations and the stuff you want to build will be built... by you.

I'll post a bunch of pictures from our world in the coming days. Now please share your thoughts and if you have some pictures to share of your creations, well I'd love to see them.

Not bad, Team Bondi! Where are we heading now?

Let's get some things straight out the way - I was looking forward to this game for years, yes. I knew of it's "non-GTA" style of gameplay, yes. I knew of the facial animation tech but what I didn't know was how much I love this setting, this kind of game and driving around. It's pretty important for you to know that I am from Sweden so some of the stuff in this game is a bit harder for me to understand... or is it? That was what I heard before I started playing. But really the only thing I didn't got was the story arround Mickey Cohen. So, I'll write a review about this game when I'm done but I thought that I share my thoughts about this game because I really do like this game.

This is not a GTA game, as people like to point out. That's probably the best thing about this game, after the animations, of course. But by not being as GTA the driving seems to been a little bit out of focus. It's not bad at all, but after playing Grand Theft Auto IV and Mafia II, a little bit better driving would've been nice. But that's the only thing, and that makes me crazy. As I mentioned above - it's really fun to play every case and I really hope that Rockstar Games and Team Bondi will support this game with tons of downloadable content. I mean, it's not like it has to be relevant to the story.

I can't stop wondering about where we go from here... And that's what I want to hear from you. Will we see another L.A. Noire or will they move on with some other city or maybe even other time frame? I don't even know what I want. Investigating stuff and putting people in jail rocks, they could make a medieval crime investigation... no, they couldn't. And certainly not some future stuff. What do you guys think? Where do we go from here?

Fifty hours of this years' best, so far. No spoilers.

Dragon Age 2
Dragon Age 2
About ten minutes in I had a pretty clear vision of how this game would end. Nothing went as I imagined, which is awesome. Dragon Age II is a fantastic game full of twist and an ending that is kind of incredible. I won't spoil this game, don't worry - but I want to mention that it's kind of a weird sequel, it would almost be better if this was the first game and Dragon Age: Origins the second. Anyway - there are things here that people will hate and others will love, and I really want to focus on some of them.

First of all - the combat. It's not a secret that BioWare made Dragon Age II more as an adventure and less an RPG. Or is it really? Of course this is not really true - while it's a game that you can play through with only a couple of deaths on medium, the harder difficulties sure gives you a challenge and almost forces you to use your team very carefully. It's very good to have this choice because as much as some of you want to think that this is a traditional open world game, it's really not. The story needs to be taken forward and a more adventure-style gameplay is welcomed for the lesser RPG fans.

Secondly. This is not an open world game as you might imagine. This game is about Kirkwall and some places outside. It's not a huge world that awaits you. With that said - it's for the greater good. The areas for some of the missions are very, very well selected and done. The places that are in the game - mostly Kirkwall - are incredibly well done. Kirkwall is a beautiful city with some awesome Dragon Age-lore architecture.

I really, really like this game and sorry to bring it up again; but the ending is nuts. It's crazy...
