I don't personally think the new consoles offer enough to buy right now, but if you really want to play those launch games I can't argue against it.

I would, however, suggest that there's not much point in replacing a 2070 with a 3070. The difference isn't going to be tremendous, and if you're happy with the performance you're getting out of your current card, why spend that money?

Oh, JFC. The argument has never been that next gen is worthless. It's just that the PS5 and Series X aren't very interesting now. Give it a year and they'll be much more attractive consoles.

And for the love of god, stop moaning about PCs. No rational person is making the claim that PC gaming is cheap, but you shouldn't be shocked that people who have PCs prefer that platform. Game on what you want and stop worrying about other people's choices.

Hmm. I was already planning to go with an FE just because I think the Nvidia design looks better than what partners are coming up with. One more reason now, I guess, but still waiting to see some cooler performance comparisons.

Not planning to get either soon, but when I eventually get around to it I can just remove a couple of shelves from my entertainment center and shuffle things around. Both will fit vertically with no trouble.

But, yeah. The rejected Mass Affect prop PS5 is going to look weird with my other gear. Maybe they'll have other color schemes available by next holiday.

Sorry, but anyone being all relaxed about the situation is really not paying attention. It's no longer a question of what if Trump loses the election and refuses to go. It's when he does that. Because he definitely isn't leaving of his own accord. He's been telling us that for months. His army of brainwashed thugs is fully convinced a Trump loss can't possibly be legitimate, and the cowards that comprise what used to be the Republican party will let him do whatever he wants.

At this point if we get to January without a civil war, I'll call it a win.

According to Microsoft it's fine either way, but keeping it vertical would make me feel better. The cooling is clearly designed for that orientation.
