I thought it was brilliant that they don't direct you to the final mission when you take control of Jack. I almost turned off my 360 and assumed that I had finished the game but I decided to ride around a bit just to mess around. Jokingly I thought to myself "Hey I should go to Blackwater and see if I can get some revenge against Ross." Then "Oh I guess I missed a stranger mission with John, well I guess I'll go take it just to see if they recorded dialogue for Jack to accept these missions." A smile spread across my face as they started talking and I realized what was happening. Well done Rockstar.

Apologies if this is answered somewhere but I've searched around and haven't been able to find anything. I'm wanting to know if there is a way to tell when you have a good horse. From what I understand, each territory has a rare horse type that you can tame. After doing the horse breaking quest for Bonnie where she gives you your first horse there was a popup that said something along the lines of "Your horse is rare/fast/agile/badass." I think it was called a Kentucky Saddler, but I could be wrong.

I kept that horse all through the first territory and into Mexico and it always seemed like a pretty solid horse. Then I did one of the horse breaking side missions in Mexico and my horse (the one that responds to the whistle) changed from the badass Kentucky Saddler to the crappy horse I broke in for the mission. Since then I've been breaking wild horses trying to find the next equivalent of the rare Saddler, but I can't find any where in the game where it tells me what kind of horse I'm on or what the quality of said horse is. I'm assuming if I found the rare Mexico horse I'd get another of those popups like I did when I first got on the Saddler, but I could be wrong.

Any tips on taming quality horses? I haven't beaten the game yet so please keep replies clear of plot spoilers. Thanks!

What weapons are you using as scouts? I found the action was moving too fast for me to get off any good shots with the sniper rifle or pistol. I seemed to do best with the spray-n-pray minigun that the soldier has.

@ISuperGamerI said:
" I think this should also be asked, can you play online with a guest? I know that Blur has split-screen MP but you can't play online. "
I'd like to know this as well; my wife and I have been enjoying ModNation Racers via split/screen online, wondering if Split/Second supports it

IMHO, the load times shouldn't be the one thing that keeps you from buying MNR. I found them annoying but not horrible, especially since I was expecting them after reading about the game. If you're on the fence about the game then maybe the load times push you over to the "don't buy" side, but I wouldn't let it be the one thing holding you back from an otherwise pretty good game. Again, just my opinion.
Supposedly they're working on a patch to address the loads, but I'm skeptical about that. If it's that easy to fix why would they release the game with them in there?

The quicklook does a good job of showing off the stuff people have created so far. The mods (racer characters) seem to have the most variety; the cars I've seen are mostly based on real world concepts, but you do have your Ecto-1s, A-team vans, etc... I think the racing controls well and the risk/reward stuff with the boost meter and weapon upgrades make for a solid experience. The biggest downsides at the moment are the load times and the connection issues, but hopefully they can patch those out.

Underneath all the customization it's still a strong kart racer in my opinion. It controls well, the risk/reward mechanics are good, and the built in tracks seem to be well designed. Consider all that plus the fact that you can customize your stuff or download other people's creations and it's worth the money if you ask me.
