On account of the plumber finally showing up today to fix my leaky toilet, it got me thinking when the last time we saw Mario "plumb" was. He's been known to dabble in carpentry, golf, medicine, tennis, racing, and partying (among other things), but I have never seen Mario as a plumber... ever. And no, dropping down pipes doesn't exactly count.

So, lets just say he's unemployed. He's eating mushrooms, adventuring in sewers, and collecting coins.

Yeah, Mario sounds like a homeless man to me.

If Mario were real he'd live in East Hastings.

Mario plumbed in the movie didn't he? I think that was the only time plumbing and him were actually utilized.

Mario was clearly a plumber in Mario Bros. He ran around on underground platforms clearing baddies from people's plumbing.

Just like a real plumber.
