  • The story was ultimately a bit of a letdown to me in the grand scheme of StarCraft lore, but everything else about this game is practically perfect. A true instant classic.

  • While not quite as masterful as it's predecessor, this is still an extremely enjoyable and unique game, albeit definitely not for everyone. The inclusion of an infinite mode would have cemented it as a masterpiece in my mind.

  • This is the first game in a long time to keep me constantly entertained, amused, and amazed all at the same time, and reminds me of what I love about Japanese games.

  • Production values are sky high, and the gameplay is solid, so it's practically impossible not to have this one on my list somewhere. The only reason it didn't score higher is because the mission structure started to feel a little too formulaic for my liking.

  • Sure, the campaign was a snoozefest, but it still manages to be one of the finest multiplayer shooters I've ever played.

  • Sure the story has a few plotholes, but this captivating brand of storytelling is still wholly unique in gaming, and deserves to be recognized.

  • The sheer number of options you have available to you can be almost overwhelming when you start to think about it. This is one of those games that really is worth every penny. Now stop using this busted engine!

  • It doesn't come together quite as well as you might hope, but it's still the best STALKER game in the series yet, in my opinion. Making your way to a nearby camp on your map in a thunderstorm in the middle of the night surrounded by mutant dogs in tall grass with nothing but a flashlight and a rusty rifle with 18 rounds is a truly awe-inspiring moment.

  • Surely one more turn wouldn't hurt, especially when I'm almost ready to ally with Ghandi in order to sandwich a hyper militarized Greece into submission... right after I discover computers in 2034.

    A true Civ V story.

  • Perhaps this is a biased entry due to my incredible love of military aircraft, but it's such a pleasant surprise to not only get a pure helicopter game once in a while, but for it to be really quite good as well.
