I played it on my friend's Playstation as we were all pretty into the table top game at the time (probably still would be given the chance. It's not bad, it's sort of nice playing the alien fighting the humans but the weaponry feels a tad unsubstantial and the visual design isn't as strong as it needs to be for the universe. It's not perfect but it's not awful, just a bit average, so if you're in to the universe it's pretty easy to forgive it's flaws.

Alright, I'm pretty sure I'm ready to dive right in to a new MMO taste sensation, but with no reviews quite yet I want to know what exactly I'm getting into before I throw money down.

So to those of you who already have, I ask ye' - How's it going over there? And how you doin'?

See sawing a bit, Engineer & Rangers-types is how I usually play any online game so I'm wanting to mix things up a bit - Guardian or Mesmer are the two most likely choices for me. Possibly Necromancer.

I would be completely on-board with a CoD MW game set entirely from a Chinese perspective.

Rounds can be a bit see-saw but it's always been the team dynamics at work - the game itself is solid as far as I can tell. I've been neck deep in the Conquest mode all this afternoon, still loving it. Looking forward to the Karkand expansion tomorrow.

Just Zelda - I'm glad Mass Effect got delayed now, all of the other games I would ever buy day 1 have inexplicably arrived within two months of each other, and at the precise moment I'm on a fairly serious budget.

@bwmcmaste: That's more-or-less the whole Battlefield experience and to some extent always has been. One game can be a mess, the next a ballet of minutely orchestrated warfare from both sides. The community that's left over after the hype & burn of the initial release are usually broadly competent players, which everyone needs to be to get the best out of Battlefield, leaving just the odd few with a screw lose and an obsession with their kill/death ratio. Certainly in the free Beta there are quite few folks still coming to terms with what the Battlefield game is, ie. Not Deathmatch.

I do worry about putting team deathmatch in, I don't want to find the large bulk of the population in there while struggling to get a full game on Conquest or Rush after the first few months. It just wouldn't be Battlefield somehow.

I've just finished watching the GoW3 gun skins quick look, wherein Epic invites you to spend multiple numerations of your currency on nothing and I think it's about time we all came clean about this.

See, it's stupid rip off. Really goddamn stupid. Like paying someone $3-4 to kick you in the face and at least that would leave a lasting impression. But the only reason this exists is because every one of us - every single one - has or will at some point transfer our hard earned pennies over for something worth a fraction of that. So, do tell, what's the most worthless, pointless or overpriced piece of DLC you have ever forked out for? Perhaps you can see something you're liable to cough up for in the future?

I'm sure I've done far worse, but Mass Effect 2 springs to mind. Wonderful game. I bought all the DLC for it, including all the weapon, appearance & armour packs. I think I maybe used two different weapons and two different armour pieces from those packs in all my playthroughs, in exchange for, ooo, must have been the best part of 1000M$ points to access them. Would've enjoyed the game just fine without them.
