@plasmaduck: Digital Foundry says it's a solid 30 with little to no frame rate drops. It's Naughty Dog, if there's one thing they get right it's the technical side of things.
@brad: It's absolutely not a sequel but they have been wishy washy on using the terms reboot or reimagining from day one for some reason. If you had to put a term on it, it's probably a reboot. Reimagining is more like the new Ratchet where the same story beats are expected to be followed. Whatever it is, definitely not a direct sequel. They are basically acting as if that game's story never existed (with good reason).
Here's a direct quote from the producer:
"This is not a sequel, this is not Mirror's Edge 2. We have landed on a vision that honors the first game — pushing the boundaries of first person movement and diving deeper into the story behind our heroine Faith — but also brings a lot of great new, interesting gameplay and features to the experience for our players"
@andrew2696: They basically just wiped out the first game, took the core DNA of it, and made a new game. Doesn't really matter since the first game's story was hot garbage. The first game gets a little over-romanticized at times. When it came out it was a really cool but short game with an obviously limited budget. I don't fault them for trying to go bigger with it.
@sammo21: Halo 5 I felt moved the MP forward, for better or worse. Mechanically it plays incredibly smooth and adds a lot to the formula over past games. I'm not really seeing anything new or interesting here. It kind of looks exactly like Gears 3.
