Come on Dan, why would you try to save face by calling out Abby about motion controls. I don't care if you're a shitheel, Abby gets shit on all the time for nothing and this sort of talk feeds into that.

Also go see a massage therapist about your broken body, ya goomba.

Starcraft was so formative for me, still so much love for this game, and the remaster is really well made. I was worried I'd play it for some nostalgic yucks and be done, but now I'm itching to ladder...

Speaking of which, does Brad know the Remaster has automated ranked matchmaking? That "Ranked" button is the SC2 "play" button he was talking about. Admittedly it's only 1v1 and you gotta hit that UMS and BGH through the game browser, but coulda poked around the UI a bit more?

I'm super surprised that somehow "Manfred's my Friend" didn't make it onto the spotlight this week. I think it's amazing. Here it is.

Thank you so much, I had to really crunch to finish it for a local animation festival, and I'm pretty happy with the result! Such an incredible moment between Vinny and Austin.

I did post about it on the forums, but I must've titled it poorly or something...

I'm definitely not partial to Rorie's tangents, mansplaining over Samantha and demands for explanations when he's not paying attention. But whatever, Samantha and Ben are great :)

Made me think of the eyeline part of this video. On top of looking like dolls, the characters don't reliably orient their eyes on who they're talking to/what they're interacting with, and so the interaction/connection between characters is doubly lost. While Horizon can sometimes desync, at least their phonemes look natural and their eyelines are spot on.

I'm just so done with Dan at this point. Being positive about shitty games is great, but he encapsulates the definition of "that guy" who makes gaming together just miserable.

I had a pang of worry this was someone leaving the site. Thank goodness it's more of Austin being the loveablest.

I hadn't read the off the clock for this, but I'll throw out one of my own tidbits. I wasn't able to find fun in Path of Exile, a grim sphere-grid-on-coke diabloesque, even with friends. I just couldn't find the monotonous grinding meaningful, until I made a new character named THRONGOR. THRONGOR started as just another dude, but I had fun speaking as him (THRONGOR IS PLEASED!) over skype, and decided he didn't like armor and never wore it. Setting this condition on my playstyle somehow made the game a joy. I was researching the best builds for an armorless Conan impersonator and hunting down the best 2handers I could find, but still having goofy nonsense fun with my friends, playing the part of the dundering glass cannon barbarian. Engaging with THRONGOR as a character, even a very silly one, allowed me to engage with a game that doesn't necessarily reinforce roleplay as much as maximized-monster-murder-skill-calculation.
