Can there be a place that just shows all premium content chronologically on a carousel or a grid? Likewise, an option that just shows all Features?

I would also love this. My biggest problem so far is that it's just impossible to navigate to some old videos that don't have show pages. I also liked scrolling back a certain amount on the videos and watching everything from a certain era and sorting all chronologically was the best way for me to do that. I don't care if it's a random PC game or a TNT or a QL I just want to watch stuff from say 2011 and now there's no easy way to do that. A big show page of all premium or features broken up by years like the other shows would be great.

Does anyone know if there's a way to look through all premium videos? It seems like some videos that are not attached to show pages are actually impossible to navigate to unless you just type the URL. Like Jurassic Lark and that feature where Ryan and Patrick played Pokemon snap along with a bunch of other one off videos that don't warrant a show page seem to be effectively gone.

@sombre: Your routine depends on your goal and also the type of exercise you want to do. Generally you will see a aerobic and a weightlifting section in the gym. It sounds like your goal is weight loss. Weightlifting is actually a great way to burn and keep off fat, it burns more calories, is surprisingly easier on the joints than most cardio and the muscle you build will keep fat off.

If you want to get started with weightlifting quickly then I think your best bet is to find a routine online. There's a bunch and it shouldn't take you long to find some for beginners that sound appealing to you. There is TON of differing opinions on what type of routines work best and it can get pretty complicated. If you're having trouble finding a routine I would just try to find one that has a lot good essential exercises that you will likely use under any routine (for chest bench press, for back dumbbell rows and pull ups, for legs squats,)

Here's also just some general terms so things make more sense.

  • Rep - One full motion of the exercise. If you are doing a bench press a rep would be pushing the bar to top position, and going down again.
  • Set - A collection of consecutive reps. You might do 4 sets of 10 reps for bench press. You would take about a minute break between each set which is why it's not just 40 reps.

Pretty much all you need to know when you go is what exercises you are doing, in what order, for how many reps, in how many sets. I would also look up how to do whatever exercises are in your routine and start very light on weight so you can get the form down.

It sounds like you are in a great situation to try weightlifting out and see if you like it. I don't think starting at home is particularly great advice, if you don't know what exercises work for you or if you'll be able to get in the habit of it then the upfront cost of some equipment is prohibitively expensive. The gym is a great place to try things out and find your routine with all the equipment the gym has to offer.

I think that's pretty much it. The gym in my experience is a pretty solitary place, people leave you alone. The only spot of awkwardness you might run into is if someone is using the machine or bench you need, you can ask them if you can "work in" with them or skip to your next exercise and come back to the other once they are done.

Good luck!

I don't like to revisit a lot of my favorite stories, even in other mediums.

I finished Dark Souls about 2 years ago and found myself never really wanting to replay it even though it is built to be traversable in a wealth of different play styles and builds. Because my play through felt definitive and memorable. I don't want to fight my way to the castle again and enjoy coldly butchering the knights that caused me palpitations earlier in the game all the while knowing that a man with a hammer and another with a spear would soon greet me and that maybe I should just summon because I already did it the "real" way. It would feel too much like a prosaic checklist to kill time, and not the flowing epic that exists perhaps only in my head.

Most games, or things, that I go back to I revisit to refresh myself on the story leading up the the final, or next chapter of something. That's why I finished Mass Effect like 4 times. Or I revisit something because I consider it a anodyne comfort that I'm not worried about seeing the seams in or wearing out. That's why I re watch a lot of TV comedies and also played through Dark Souls 2 twice despite considering it generally disappointing.

So, yeah I guess to answer the question I generally like to revisit even some of my favorite games pretty sparingly.

  1. Charge
  2. Lance
  3. Backlash

I've been having fun with the above combo. There is an upgrade for lance that gives it 0 recharge time but drains shields and an upgrade for charge that restores your shields every charge. So typically I kill things with lance and then charge whenever I run out of shields. With that you can actually lance 4 or 5 times in a row and then almost immediately charge again. I use backlash as a panic button if I'm waiting on a charge cool down. I use pistol and shotgun. With some of of the biotic barrier passives and some augments that boost shields it feels a little overpowered but I like it.

Also the planet descriptions don't say what type of star the planet is orbiting anymore. I kinda liked that in the old ones. I dislike the length of the animation but I feel like at least there isn't as many systems to look at as in the other games.

This reminds me that I miss the Codex announcer guy too. I think he would read planet descriptions sometimes, I might have dreamt that but regardless it's a beautiful dream and should have been in this game

As far as the gameplay goes it looks fine. I worry that some of the scanning and gathering stuff might get tedious, but you need something to do while exploring other than just gallivanting around.

The game is reminding me a lot of dragon age inquisition. It's bringing a lot of things from it's predecessors back into the fold with a fresh coat of paint while adding some things as well.

I really liked ME1, enjoyed ME2, and thought ME3 felt a little weird, but none of that had to do with how the games played. The strength of Mass Effect in my mind has always been the world. What I really enjoyed about 1 were small moments, like talking to the AI in the citadel, getting some new info and then checking the codex in excited curiosity. In ME1 the main narrative arc felt grounded and things felt big and unmovable and hard, which led to it feeling like a real and important world. The characters were a big part of that too, and also a big part of how you learned about the world. It was doubly fun to go check with everyone on the Normandy to not just get their take but also learn something about the universe.

In ME2 the narrative arc was strange and felt almost like some weird side story. The characters really shined through though, and the frenetic, visceral quality of the back third of that game was just a lot of fun.

ME3 as the ostensible conclusion to everything, had you solving a lot of problems, too many problems and too easily, in my mind. The various problems that gave the world shape in the previous games were solved so easily that it made everything feel trivial. Everyone around Shepard felt easily manipulated and stupid. The idea that the Quarians and the Geth just needed some guy to say a few words to make everything okay made that entire arc that was built across multiple games seem silly. Coupled with the out of left field ending and I still think of ME3 as a weird fan fiction fever dream.

So following up on that series seems pretty tough. They have to build a whole new universe that feels fresh and different but just as big and interesting. Which is doubly tough since people still remember everything about the previous mass effect trilogy so learning new stuff about a new universe might feel hollow and like a "been there done that" situation.

The dialogue wheel at least is an encouraging sign that they are planning to make a Mass Effect game. So now for me it's just up to the the world building and I doubt that will show in any of the trailers.
