Ah if that isn't the most classic of deaths I don't know what is. Happens to everyone until you really start thinking about alien pods and how revealing them might ruin everything.
@danryckert: lol next time don't even dignify that shit with a response duder! Refer to obcdexter's post for a summary why :D
Not having a Switch is going to be a very painful thing the next two months. God I miss not being broke as shit. At this rate I will be able to save up for a Switch by mid-summer 2018, I think... I'll just have to avoid Marioy stuff until then. Hrm..
As amazing as it looks / blown away as I've been since the start, I was pretty floored seeing it in-person. I'm super happy the game itself is also really fun and gives you that itch to keep trying, because this is a hell of an achievement.
@geraltitude: it's right-click to move, left click to doors and meld though. Also I don't remember meld being in xcom 2. Like, I don't know how you'd do it with a fucking gamepad but you can click on exhausted soldiers with a mouse, and I definitely remember dashing a guy and then re-clicking them to open a door so everybody else could shoot in EW.
lol, oh, you're right. I've been playing EW (my first Iron Man) and just stressing so hard about opening doors. It's just so scary because you see the cursor on the tile. There's no more meld in the sequel, but lots of hacking / doors / picking people up. Anyways, much prefer their approach in X-COM 2. I don't think I knew you could click on exhausted soldiers? Kind of blows my mind... I will have to try that, maybe you're right and they can take an action after all. The other thing I will try out is maybe the Assault can open doors after Run & Gun.
I'm 100% not saying I'm right, I beat this game but not spectacularly or anything, but these guys seem way more hesitant to try 30-50% shots than I was.. 30% is still about one in three that ain't awful.
lol yeah. Honestly I think when you read as a percentage, your "school system" mind kicks in. But when you read it out, even 50/50 sounds not bad.
Was there a patch? Because i'm pretty sure you can open doors and collect meld after dashing as long as your turn isn't over.
Also, FFS, snipers have pistols.
Unfortunately, this is not the case in X-COM, but they did seriously rectify this in the sequel (maybe that's on your mind). Not only can you open doors/press buttons/evac after dashing, but they added it to the action bar so you DON'T ACCIDENTALLY CLICK A TILE INSTEAD OF MELD BECAUSE DAMN.
