The only movies I buy any more are the MCU movies (maybe if something hits me just right in theaters I will get it, or if I can buy it cheaper than renting). I then end up buying the DVD/Blu-Ray/Digital version and just watching it on VUDU.
Would love to see Dino Crisis get remade like RE2 did. Heck, it could be completely original honestly. I feel like Capcom really fell apart there for awhile, then stormed back starting with RE7 (maybe there was something before that even, but considering DR4 was 12/6/16 & RE7 was 1/24/17 I would be surprised). No idea if there was a massive management overhaul or something. I definitely was in the boat of, "Not touching Capcom games for awhile" to, "RE7 reviewed really well? I'll try it. OMG this is awesome!" and now just willing to buy whatever Capcom puts out (at least until they ruin that goodwill again).
Lost Planet getting a AAA version could be pretty sweet too.
Stumbled across a KOTOR stream on Twitch. That was all I needed to decide to leave my KOTOR memories in the past. Still working on Shenmue. I have a job now! You might say I'm in the end game now.
Also realized that I don't want to play Batman Season 2 and Michonne is not tied to the rest of the Telltale Walking Dead games. So, bailing on those two. Up to 11 total crossed off.
Initially I was going to say no but then I remembered a Giant Bomb ad suggesting Twix should be paired with coffee and I'd never thought to do that before. Two Twix have been purchased since then as a result.
Oh man, a candy bar (or many deserts) and a cup of coffee is such a good combination.
Right now I am leaning towards not joining since I would rather put that money towards the societies I am already a member of: VFW, Marine Corps League, and Disabled American Veterans.
These three societies will do more for your resume than the NSCS. Someone else said lots of people get high GPAs. This is true to the point that it generally is needed to get your foot in the door, but the societies you listed here are going to help contribute to separate you from the pack (especially if you are involved in them in some way and can talk about your role).
Updates! I started Crash Team Racing: Nitro Fueled (or whatever the subtitle is). Turns out, I enjoy Mario Kart World Tour on my phone WAAAAAAY more. So, I'm going to leave the good memories in the past and not ruin them.
Played through the first two acts of Gears 4 and hated it. Started Gears 5 (which had a nice recap of Gears 4). Enjoyed the first act, but didn't want to play any more. I might be done with Gears of War.
I am booking it through Shenmue though. Thinking I might finish it this week.
I wasn't sure how to vote, so I chose "Yes, Reason N/A." I chose this, because an ad on a podcast informed me about something I did not even know about. This led me to looking into it and purchasing it. I no longer remember what that specific thing was, but I remember doing this.
Ok, I just learned that Mass Effect 2 came out in this last decade (I had in my head it was 2009, probably because it was January 2010). So, my new winner for most disappointing game of the decade (and still of my entire life) is Mass Effect 2. After the near perfect game that was Mass Effect 1, Bioware took it's first step toward the inevitable destruction of its franchise. They removed Liara T'soni. They went from weapons that you have to manage the temperature to clips (WHY?! BAD BAD BAD, you gave us futuristic weapons then took them away!). They introduced some terrible characters. They reduced the level cap. Achievements no longer affected your characters. They removed the Mako along with exploring and replaced it with a boring AF mining thing. AHHHHHHHHH!!!!
This is also why Mass Effect 3 wasn't a let down for me. I remember the uproar about ME3 and just thought, "Didn't you guys play ME2?" I played ME3 because I needed to finish Shepard's story.
partially because of how braindead the story was (sure, it's meant to be kids' game, but kids deserve better than this tripe)
Anyway, what NPCs have y'all found to be so terrible that they ruined or came close to ruining a game for you?
Kids do deserve better. I was 12 when Blue & Red came out and was enthralled. That story still holds up just fine.
I have two from the same game: Miranda Lawson and the Illusive Man (I assume that someone who can be in your party but you can't control is still an NPC). Also, the removal of my favorite NPC Liara T'soni.
