I noticed that the following options are not available for Genre when updating a wiki: Horror and Metroidvania. These are two pretty big genres that deserve to be selectable.

I would also consider adding Souls-likes and Rouge-likes.

I do not see a better way to contact the admins than this. If there is one, please point me to it.

So far, I have one big problem. The dog is dead.

RE4 is the awkward teenage years of third person shooter games. Boy, the controls are bad and the story is bad even for an RE game. I think this is one of the most over-remembered, nostalgia tinted games (up there with Goldeneye). I'm hopeful that they actually make RE4 good, but if the dog is dead, screw this game.

@zombiepie: I recently played through 13-2 & Lightning Returns as well. I am 100% with you on the endgame and insane difficulty spike at the end. My summaries of each game are more like this:
13-2 is a quote from Hansel in Zoolander, "Do I know what product I'm selling? No. Do I know what I'm doing today? No. But I'm here, and I'm gonna give it my best shot." Basically, I had fun with it even though I did not understand what was going on.

Lightning Returns is more like, "I'm having fun. Oh, the story ended and none of this remaining endgame stuff interests me. I'm crushing every enemy, so I'm gonna jump to the end game. Oh what the heck?! Who designs a game this way?!"

Largest storage requirement?

Doom Eternal is 33GB according to the eShop.

Oops! I forgot to include "the largest Switch-exclusive Nintendo title" in that sentence. Also, I do agree SD cards are cheap, but there is something to be said about Nintendo bucking that burden on to consumers and how many marketplaces like Amazon are flooded with scam SD Cards.

I would rather this than the Vita issue where it was proprietary. I got a pretty massive SD card for like $40 awhile ago. If I can add more storage than I think I'll ever use for that cheap, feel free to make the console price point lower by having less hard drive.

We can see the proprietary issue repeating itself already. While both Xbox Series & PS5 allow you to attach an external hard drive for storage and play of prior console generation games (or to store current gen games, but not play them) the price point to upgrade the PS5 internal storage is currently in free fall, because it's the same memory that can be used in PCs. The Xbox decided to use an external proprietary memory solution and it is expensive AF.

@mento: I love Cyborg Justice. I did not know it was made by the Ecco the Dolphin people.

In 2019, I bought a 65" 4k tv (before that I was using a 50" plasma I bought in 2008). In 2022, I bought a 70" 4k tv and moved the 65" about 5 feet to the right to replace the plasma.

I voted for most, because it must be more than half. I mean last year I finished 212 games. This year I have already finished 23. I am definitely at a place where I will bounce off a game at any point, if I'm not having fun. I put 20-25 hours into Marvel's Midnight Suns to finish Chapter 1 (or Act 1 or however it was titled) and went, "Wow, that was just the first chapter? I'm so bored." I'm also very willing to bounce off a game in the first hour.

You said, "

  1. A new player won't have the experience to judge a pokémon's effectiveness, so expecting them to select the best pokémon from a list would be unfair."

The manual tells you that Bulbasaur is easy mode and Charmander is hard mode. Pokemon Red & Blue came out in a time where manuals were actually interesting and contained extra information.
