Firstly are you playing through your TV? These can often add extra filters that can add a delay that you don't notice when just watching a movie. Most TV's will have some kind of 'Game Mode' that will turn off the filters, or in my case tell your TV that you have a PC plugged into that port.

Secondly, that graphics card is not great. Yeah a toaster can run Portal 2, but not with all the bells and whistles. Have you tried playing those games on lower settings?

Lastly, you didn't mention what CPU you have. This could be causing a bottleneck, especially in Shogun 2.

I love Borderlands 2, racked up 400 hours myself. However with most games of this type, once you get to max level (I have 7 characters at 61), there isn't much of a reason to keep playing. Bring on the DLC and I'll be straight back in there though.

You own 316 games worth: $4,345.81

That is way too much money.

Like a lot of people I play PC games through my TV with a 360 pad. However whenever there is any kind of in-game chat I have to grab my wireless keyboard, the problem being where I sit is just barely within range so I tend to miss out letters. This leaves my responses looking like I had a fit at my keyboard.

I want to know if the 360's chat pad attachment will work as a secondary keyboard and allow me to chat to other players without putting down the pad?

I would highly recommend turning PhysX Off. I too have a GTX660Ti and I play with them on low and have done for over 230 hours of playtime without issue. The effects may look good, but once a big fire fight starts the GPU can't handle it even when using medium settings.

Also check that the nvidia control panel isn't using the CPU for physx as this handles it worse than your GPU.

edit: In my experience Borderlands 2 does not like any overclock on the GPU. Try taking it back to stock settings and see if that helps.

@davidwitten22:

I found that Borderlands 2 runs better than the original on my system. This may just be because the sequel takes better advantage of a modern system, more cpu threads and the like. According to steam the sequel has sightly lower minimum requirements than the original. I would never recommend buying a game when you struggle to meet the minimum requirements, but if you were happy playing the original on low, you should find a lot to enjoy in the this game. I've racked up 230 hours in Borderlands 2, and I still keep going back.

@jjweatherman: Why is the 770 clocked much higher then the 780?

Because the 780 is using the GK110 chipset, which is what the Titan uses. The 770 uses the GK104 chipset, which is the same as the 680. The 770 is basically an overclocked 680, and the 780 is an underclocked Titan to put it simply.
