Starcraft stuff, and some sick trailers

About a month ago GB posted a Starcraft II battle report video, where you watched to Starcraft II developers go at it, while some of the producers acted as commentators. I enjoyed it, and it got me hyped for the game. It also taught me a lot. So this weekend I've been putting some of that knowledge to use, by playing the original Starcraft, and doing a really great job. Those strategies really work, and they work well. Starcraft is probably my favorite game ever, and it never gets old, even though it has 2D Graphics. I love it regardless...

The trailers I'm talking about...

Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen...

An actual trailer, that someone recorded off their TV, and it is not the one from the Superbowl here it is:

Looks amazing...I loved Transformers, and this looks to pack an even bigger punch.

Also the Angels and Demons theatrical trailer came out. I can't embed it, but it's here on IMDB
This looks a thousand times better than the Da Vinci Code.

Well

I haven't done much. Played Starcraft II and Civ BTS.
I'm playing some Fallout and COD WAW tomorrow.

I'm getting Halo Wars and Empire Total War in March.

NO FEAR 2...looks pretty disappointing unfortunately.

It's called the "SUPER" Bowl for a reason........

WOW HOLY FUCK!!!! WHAT A GAME!!! That was without a doubt the most entertaining Super Bowl since I've been alive. There was a lot of scoring. Both teams scored more than Oddsmakers predicted. What a game!!!

First off...Arizona played a hell of a game. If they didn't make those toddler mistakes, of three gay penalties on that one drive, then they would've won.

Secondly...James Harrison is a beast!!!
Watch these vids of him!!!

This is funny....just the opening part.

Oh yeah...that guy aint a bad football player either:

He should've been the MVP....now I'll tell you why. He was the reason why the left tackle had three holding penalties, because Harrison is so hard to contain. Harisson also had the amazing interception TD, which was Seven points for the steelers. If he doesn't make that play, then Boldin catches the pass and scores, and then the score is atleast 30-20 Arizona. The catch wasn't even the big deal, because once he made it to the fifty yard line the clock was at zero. Any other player probably wouldn't have made it, and then all they would've done would be keep Arizona from scoring, and the score would be 23-20 Arizona. That's why he's my MVP.

Thirldly  The Cardinals Offense was beast. Larry Fitzgerald broke Jerry Rice's post season touchdown record. Kurt Warner broke his own record for the second most SuperBowl passing yards. He also has the first and the third, and that was all against the #1 defense in the NFL...not bad.

Fourthly...

What an ending:

So yeah...
I liked the Superbowl.

Gaming wise...
Just been doing some COD WAW.

Fallout and Fable maybe later in the week...

Happy Gaming.

Nice VIDEO!!! IM SICK AGAIN THOUGH...YEY me....

So yeah... to add to my list of health problems I've had this year (possible Galstones, Possible Kidney Stones, throwing up a shitload of shit, and having shoulder surgery) I found out today I have a sinus infection. My Temp was just 99.9, and It was 98 two hrs ago...I was so happy, because I was feeling great for the first time all year, but like Benjamin Button says, "Some things, just don't last.."

For the first time in a year, I've not touched my 360 in over a week, which is pretty crazy, considering I haven't finished Fable II or Fallout 3. If I stay home tomorrow though I won't play them, because I'll be sleeping till hell comes home.

Anyway with our new Presidente (not mispelled), and the economy in the crapper...literally. I thought this really well done video of every President from Washington to Obama, would britghten peoples days.

Anyway this whole new "Stimlulus Bill" looks like shit...300 mil is going towards Global Warming Research (more Al Gore BS), and five billion is going to contraceptives (aka condums, and "the pill". WTF!!! My moms 401K has imploded by half. Citi is buying fucking 50 million dollar jets, while the unemployment rate is rising to higher than its been in years, and not to mention....the STOCK MARKET SUCKS ITS OWN BALLS!!!.... .

Plus Obama "Christ" made the choice to close GITMO.   I think it is good in some cases, because I think if they take these terrorists, and put them in regular American Prisons, the prisoners will beat the shit out of them, till they convert to christianity, or something like that...On the other side, I don't think we should bring hundreds of confirmed terrorists to US soil...I thought we wanted to keep them out?

What are your views on these two issues...

Happy Gaming.

CONGRATS OBAMA!!! Defiance Movie Review, Fable II Impress

Summary: This is the one we've been waiting for ...

*** This comment may contain spoilers ***

Not since Schindler's list and Saving Private Ryan, have I felt such an emotional tug at my heart during a WWII movie. Defiance is really a great combination of the two classics. It is thrilling and epic at times, but then there are moments, where you become attached to this race of people, who are fighting for their very existence.

Defiance, a movie staring James Bond, and headed up by a Director, who has a knack for making movies that are "Epic". This is just a recipe for success.

The story is incredible. It is very fresh, unique, and sad at the same time. I know what you're thinking: "Not another Holocaust movie." This is not your average Holocaust movie, in fact this is my favorite Holocaust movie, because for the first time it has a happy ending. The characters are very complicated ones, and I think it adds a lot to the film, because I found myself incredibly attached to them by the end of the movie.

Daniel Craig delivers the best performance of his career, as the struggling leader Tulvia Beilski He nailed the Russian accent, and got me very emotionally attached to his character. Liev Schrieber, gives a chilling performance as the outlandish, hot headed, middle brother, Zus Bielski. The best performance of the movie goes to Jamie Bell, who is coming off his successful movie Jumper. Bell gives this very emotional performance, and is given some excellent lines, in which he delivers perfectly.

The Cinematography is absolutely exquisite. The desaturated beaten down look of every shot, just gives you this increased dismal perspective, on how miserable lives were for these people. Edward Zwick is a masterful director. He makes a tough choice to have some of the dialog spoken in Russian, and the rest spoken in English with Russian accents, but I think in the end it pays off more than Bryan Singer's choice to use pure English in Valkyrie. Zwick manages to just really wow me again with another Epic battle at the end, but for a first time in a Zwick movie I found myself very attached to the characters at the end.

James Newton Howard gives you an amazing, riveting score, which just sets the stage for the whole movie, with one exception. Surprisingly, I would've wished for the Epic Battles to have more emotionally stirring music, such as Latin Opera, like we saw in the trailers, or like we've seen in other Zwick epics such as Glory or the Last Samurai. Still though it is an excellent score, and it might be nominated for an Oscar, and it was already nominated for a Golden Globe.

Overall Defiance is the best WWII movie since Saving Private Ryan, and it is a must see, the only downside is the lack of an Epic score in the battles.

Fable II:

"Would you please go to the bed....."

I wish it was that easy in real life... Fable II is awesome.

It is a very laid back RPG. It's the first time I've found myself doing a lot of things that don't further the main story along at all...Maybe's it's because I don't find the main story that interesting, and I find it more interesting to try and keep seven wives happy at once, while being a hero. Yes...the Romantic side to the game, has really snagged my attention. It is very well done, and enjoyable....I have never had safe sex once in the game, and I'm clean!!!! FUCK YOU AIDS!!...lol

I also find the different types of work very enjoyable and challengeing, but I get a very good sense of reward when I finish them.

I love this game a lot, and I hope I can get into Fallout 3 after I finish it, because I really didn't feel like getting into all of that right now....

BTW:
Congrats Mr. President Barack!! I'm sorry I've bashed you up until Election day, but HEY ITS POLITICS...(explains why he picked Hillary as his SEC. of State lol...lesbo)

And Goodbye W... BTW if anyone saw Bush's speech when he got to Texas, (only Foxnews showed it....shows how much CNN and MSNBC care about U.S. Presidents who've served eight years for our country), Bush's speech in Texas was AWESOME...I'm not a big Bush fan, but I respect him, and I feel he handled 9/11 very well, and I think Iraq was a mistake, but the surge worked, and he did his best to make the most of a pitful attemept at making a Democracy in Iraq. The surge wouldn't've worked so well if it wasn't for our amazing Service Men and Woman, who I thank tremendously, if any are reading (soon to be Steve), and especially the brillaint Gen. David Petrayeous. Wow...I got off topic...Anyway Bush's homecoming speech was the best speech he ever gave...by a mile...for the first time since 9/11, he looked relaxed, and at peace with himself...let's face it: President of the US is the worst job on the planet, because you age twice as fast, 300 + million people's live are at stake, not to mention the countries that are our allies, and the countries that decide to fuck with us's lives are at stake, and you're constantly bombarded with reports of Terrorist threats against the U.S.

Good luck Mr. President...you have my support. Now you just the rest of us Right Wing Nutjobs...lol

God bless America,

Movies and Games that I like...

I saw Benjamin Button yesterday and:

10/10

Summary: An instant Classic- If you loved Forest Gump then you'll love this

*** This comment may contain spoilers ***

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button is a film that explores a character who finds himself in a situation that's a little more than just "Curious", in fact I would go as far to say that it is almost disgusting, and really absurd, but as you watch the incredible journey that Benjamin takes, you will fall in love with this movie, and realize that the greatest gift of all is life, and this movie exemplifies that.

The story has some very similar plot elements to Forest Gump, which I absolutely loved. They both narrate their life stories; They are both born as outcasts, and there only friends are girls, who both want to be performers, but end up being sluts; They both meet a character who is their "mentor", and introduces them to the rough side of life. They both serve in the military; They both eventually fall in love with their childhood friends; They both have hearts of gold, and they are both characters, who overcome adversity, and live amazing lives.

Brad Pitt stars as Benjamin. A baby born an Old Man, who ages in reverse. He has Elderly features and looks, but he has the mind of a newborn. This is definitely Pitt's best performance. Better than any of the Oceans...better than Troy, better than Burn After Reading..his best. Pitt creates this character that has a heart of gold, that you can't help falling in love with. Pitt nails the southern accent, and does an excellent job giving Button a very slow speech pattern, which really allows you to take in some of the excellent lines. Pitt will get nominated for an academy award, because he was excellent as Button.

Cate Blanchette, next to Merryl Streep, is the best actress out there. Blanchette has done a Russian accent already this year, and now she tackles the Red-Neck Southern accent, and she nails it. She didn't miss a single line. It was amazing to listen to, because you would never realize she was British. Blanchette will get an Oscar Nomination for another amazing performance.

The most amazing part of this movie is the makeup and the costumes. Benjamin Button is aged through CGI, but Daisy (Blanchette's character), Queenie (Benjamin's surrogate mother), and all the other actors age amazingly, through the excellent makeup. The costumes are incredible, and it gives this movie a classic look, because the movie takes place over several different time periods.

David Fincher is an amazing director. He completely nails each period. From the common appliances in the house, to the cars, the outfits, the way that people spoke...everything is extremely precise, and takes true to the time period. The one violent scene involving a Japanese submarine, is one of the most amazing sequences I've ever seen in any movie. Fincher also does a very good job of pausing the story to go back to the reader of the story, and create a whole other side to the story from the reader's perspective. Fincher just does an incredible job.

Eric Roth's script is worthy of an Academy Award, because of how well he creates the dialog coming from Benjamin, a character, who finds himself in this crazy dilemma. I really was amazed by how interesting the script was, and how well it kept me glued to the screen, even though the movie was Two hours and Forty Five minutes.

This is possibly the best movie of 2008...maybe not my favorite, but possibly the best. A must see!!!

Yeah, so I liked it....

Here's my MK vs. DC impressions
Great controls
Great characters
Boring campaigns, but the best of any fighting games in 2008
Frusturating issues in Kombo Challenge
Good multiplayer
The best fighter of 2008...

Yeah, so yeah. I liked both things. I think I've beaten every COD WAW mission on veteran, so I'm playing some Gears 2 right now. The campaign to be exact...If anyone wants to co-op through it with me, so I can get the 10 Co-op mission achievement, and enjoy killing locusts then send me a msg on either GB or XBL.
I get Fallout 3 next weekend along with LOTR Conquest...

Happy gaming

Gran Torino Movie review, and MK vs. DC Uni. Impressions

Well I bought MK vs. DC Universe, and I really like it. I beat both stories, and this the first fighting game of the year that  I really like. I haven't delved into the Multiplayer yet, because today I spent a few hours beating two or three COD WAW missions on Veteran (A FUCKING PAIN IN THE ASS). I plan on getting Fallout 3 tomorrow, and if not then it won't be till next week.

For those of you who give a horses ass about my arm...I'm doing okay. Tomorrow I get the stitches out, and I get to see the scars...(chicks dig scars) ( ashame they're not in more convinent places lol) Thanks for caring about me, and I might post some pics of them tomorrow.

I saw Gran Torino over the weekend and this is what I thought:

The last of the Great American Actors,

*** This comment may contain spoilers **
I love going to the movies, and I sometimes overate movies, just because I had so much fun seeing the movie, but that is not the case this time around.

Gran Torino is just a great movie. Clint Eastwood Delivers...Again as A Director, a Producer, and especially as an actor. The movie is just very...very well done. It was shot in 76 days, and I wouldn't change anything about it for the world.

The story is very basic. Walt Kowalski, a racist, Korean Veteran's wife has just died. He lives in a neighborhood populated by the Huang people from South Eastern Asia. He hates Asians from his Korean War days, so he despises all his neighbors. His children hate him, and just want him to die, so they can get his prize possession, his Gran Torino car. One night a gang pressures Kowalski's Asian next door neighbor, into trying to steal the Gran Torino. Kowalski gets really mad at the kid, but the gang tries to threaten his neighbors, and Kowalski saves them. The neighborhood thinks of Kowalski as a hero, and he begins to develop a relationship with his next door neighbors, which culminates into a very beautiful climax.

The movie has excellent cinematography, and it is just a very conventional movie, everything is by the books. Eastwood is a masterful director who manages to create this gritty yet laid back feeling at the same time. The movie is very emotional, but at times, it can be extremely funny.

Clint Eastwood gives the best performance of 2008 bar none. Better than Will Smith in Seven Pounds. Better than Ed Norton in Pride and Glory. Better than Sean Penn in Milk. Better than Frank Langella in Frost Nixon. Eastwood just portrays this bigoted, racist, hardcore, old school, Korean war veteran, widower in such a masterful way, that you really believe in your head that you've met a thousand of these kind of people, but somehow Eastwood's character separates himself from the others. Eastwood manages to be serious, yet very funny at the same time. One thing that I noticed in the movie is that only two sequences in the entire movie have music. The rest of the movie is just Eastwood's incredible performance keeping you glued to the screen. If there was ever an actor who deserved the Best Actor Academy Award...then it's Clint Eastwood. He's 78 years old, and regardless of his past performances, he has given us the best Performance of any actor for 2008.

This is one of those movies that 10...20 years from now when you see the movie being played on TV you'll go...That was an amazing movie. It's just one of those movies that you don't see any more. You can't miss this movie...Eastwood's best.

HAPPY GAMING!!!
