I feel like the title of this was a bit misleading. Your not really arguing that Christians shouldn't play video games, what your arguing is that Christians (or any religious person for that matter) should get upset with subversive (in their view) forms of media because they could actually learn something from it (which I would agree with btw).

Personally, I'm a atheist but I don't find this discussion very fun or enlightening. Religion just seems like a very personal thing and I wouldn't presume to tell others how to feel about their religion unless they get preachy and righteous about it then I have no problem telling them what I think about their god or gods. When you don't respect my ideas or beliefs then I don't have to respect yours (but honestly this only happens to Christians with me when they find out I don't believe in any gods. Most other religious people seem ok with it in my experience).

I think its actually kind of commendable that the guy left the project. Better that then to force a creative change or make the work environment really hostile or uncomfortable because of your beliefs. Too bad more people aren't like him.

@akyho: @fattony12000: How would he move? He hasn't had a job in three years.

That's a tough question. I think I'd take it though. I've left jobs to only come back when the other didn't work out. As long as you got along well enough with everyone there and you left on good terms, I don't see a problem with going back, even if it is volunteer work. Its better than not working at all.

That story development trailer was pretty interesting. It gives me a little hope that there won't be such a huge focus on Mage vs Templar in this game.

I doubt that. The ending of DA 2 is the reason why your playing a chantry inquisitor. The chantry fell after the mages revolted at the end of DA 2 and now the world is in chaos so I'm guessing your going to be playing a chantry inquisitor, hence the name of the game, and your goal will be to travel around Thedes and try and quell all the fighting and get them to join your cause because there's probably some large threat that more of a concern or something to that effect. Basically taking the structure of Origins and placing that within the story and themes that DA 2 was trying to do but failed at b/c of the other mitigating factors like the combat, reusing assets over and over again, etc.

@alexglass: So, uh, what's your point exactly? That it's hyperbole that I don't understand what the philosophy of the console is anymore now that they've almost completely reversed direction on almost every policy they announced and it's starting to go in the opposite direction of now I don't know why it differentiates itself from the PS4? At a point it starts to affect my interest in PS4 too, because the more similar they become the less I want either and would rather upgrade my PC. But sure, try to shame me to some nonsensical end over a pretty innocuous comment. Hooray for you.

How does allowing people to unplug Kinect without bricking the console change the philosophy of the Xbox One? Or any of the other features I listed other than the DRM change.

Please explain. Also please explain "every other policy" they changed that changed the philosophy of the Xbox One.

They are totally changing how the console will operate and that's not a big policy change in your eyes? It wouldn't even work without kinect and now it will. Honestly, I think that is bigger than getting rid of the 24 hour check in.

I'd be down to join. I haven't played it much recently but would like to get back into it and this might help.

Kinda sounds like you don't like the fallout series anymore honestly. Which is fine, but I think that New Vegas is so much better than FO3 (if you can get past the bugs) that its not even funny. It plays more like an rpg than a shooter so if you don't like rpgs, then that could also explain why you don't like it. I would say drop it if your not into it. You don't have to like every game.

@believer258: Me too. I just recently watched a video where this girl said she didn't really get into gaming until the ps2/xbox/gamecube era. Made me feel incredibly old since I've been gaming since the atari 2600 came out.

I tend to agree but at the end of the day SR2 is a chore to play through while SR3 is fun to play through and I think that makes it better but just slightly.

Yes you can be a morally judge art or history for that matter. What you find out if you study history is most of the history you learn is based on the historians interpretation of the source material. Sometimes the historian will put in things that aren't really that important and sometimes he'll put in things that he deems very important. Its all a matter of perception, interpretation, and yes morals. People are humans, not robots and they are going to judge things on moral terms sometimes.
