gonzab's Beaten Games Chronology

Well, just like the title says, really. These are all the games that I remember completing, and some of the dates just 'cuz I keep record of that in a website. I'll update it as I finish more and more AND MORE.

List items

  • [15/12/2013] Fun kart game that mechanics wise is a rip-off of Mario Kart. Nonetheless it delivers a very interesting and fun single-player mode with a lot of stuff to collect. I beat the adventure mode and just had 42% of the game completed which gives an idea of the amount of stuff to collect.

  • [16/12/2013] It's a cool game, and while it's cool they kept the key concepts of the original Rondo of Blood, they could've fixed some annoying things like getting thrown when hit and the like. It's a challenging game, but the challenge lies more in memorizing patterns and knowing when and where to hit enemies than proper skill. It was still a fun ride. The soundtrack is remixed in comparison to the original, but the melodies are always memorable.

  • [20/12/2013] Great production values and design, fun, fast paced and challenging gameplay, good music. It's really short though, as an arcade game that would be fine, but it's a bit inexcusable in a home console. The story could also be more fleshed out as there's basically no explanation on why we're fighting mechas and tanks with lasers, in the old far west.

  • [25/12/2013] Interesting game, although it appears to be a simple platformer, the way it let's you choose the order in which to play the levels, the pogo cane mechanic and the non linearity of the levels themselves, are very interesting concepts that work well. Some bosses are ridiculously easy though.

  • [31/12/2013] Awesome remake that even expands on the Super Metroid formula with some new moves and teaks to make the experience even more enjoyable. Graphics, action and sound are top notch. A great game to wrap up 2013.

  • [02/05/2014] Epic story with a great message and awesome twists. Kinda on the easy side though.

  • [15/05/2014] Quirky game where you stalk hotel residents for information on how to steal their soul and also avoid the angry ones. Really interesting concept and a mix of stealth with survival horror although it's more humorous than scary, while not really being scary at all. Goes by pretty fast and isn't that hard but takes some dedication to round up the information on how to steal a soul. Clean, fun graphics too.

  • [14/09/2014] The great classic itself. Not much to say about this one that hasn't been said before. It's an instrospective journey about human feelings and relationships that's quite accurate and makes you think about it. Great production values, music and gameplay to boot. Kind of stretches at times, but I suppose that's the cost of deep character development.
