@sparky_buzzsaw: Yeah, that's Bad Mr. Frosty from Clayfighters. I totally forgot about him because Clayfighters isn't all that great, but he does sorta fit.
For the second question, Kula Diamond fits the description. Jin Kisaragi also sort of fits the description, but he also has a lot of sword related moves.
As for the first question, there wouldn't be much of a use for a character like that, sadly. Characters need normals more than specials.
I don't see how chains in this are a huge barrier. A lot of them can almost be mashed out with only a few requiring linking of frames (mostly on Dauntless). Compare that the something like Street Fighter 4, Mortal Kombat, or GOD FORBID Virtua Fighter (so many 1 frame links my god) and this is way more lenient. SFV is removing 1 frame links and replacing them with 3 frame links, making them way easier as well though, so this sort of non-problem is becoming more and more removed anyways. I will agree that the 8 button thing is a little bit off and I wish they allowed for 2-button press versions as well as the single press shortcut buttons just to make players of other fighting games feel more comfortable.
Fighting games take a lot of time. They will never and should never be a genre that you can jump into with no practice. Practice your footsies, practice punishing, practice combos, practice reliable execution. After you get that down, you should be able to cake walk your way to at least bronze and from there, learn to read the enemy and think about what they're going to do next. Once you have THAT down, then you just need to hone in on where you're weak and practice more to get rid of your weaknesses. Someone out there will always be better than you, even if you think otherwise. That's why you have to keep practicing even once you make it to the 'top', but it all starts from a foundation of practice and persistence.
Yeah, nah. Unless it's like $20-$30, color me not interested at all. WoD was a huge letdown and this seems to be mostly surface level stuff to distract from some of the more core problems of WoW. Like how they said Class Orders help with class identity. How? Class Identity should be expressed through gameplay, not by having a clubhouse for your class.
I will say an Emerald Dream raid sounds alright though. Only been 11 years since they mentioned it.
@pierre42: Don't worry, I play a Machinist. Went into an Expert roulette and literally got called the shackle around their collective ankles. They then proceeded to make me do every single mechanic while they stood there and did next to nothing.
@ford_dent: Yeah, in UNIEL she's just referred to as Eltnum and is mostly a gag character along with Akatsuki from Akatsuki Blitzkampf (a great obscure fighting game where you can play as a fucking tank)
God Harley looks ridiculously unlikable. I wish they'd un-Hot-Topic the design. Leto is a great actor and his Joker might be great but those tattoos are still dumb.
Wait and see for me. I have no positive thoughts on it to be honest.
It makes them more believable as a couple, I suppose. One of the things about Harley in the comics which gets me is how a trainee psychiatrist can wind up a gymnastic, unquestionable sidekick. She should be smarter than that.
She's actually not. It's implied (in her very first appearance detailing her origin) that she slept with her professor to get a higher grade. She is actually completely unqualified for her job and has been coasting on personality, charm, and good looks (and the odd handjob I suppose). That's been part of her character from jump street. It's also how they explain the Joker getting his claws into her and twisting Harleen into what she is now. She was a trainee and was completely unprepared for him.
Where is this from? I remember her as first appearing in the cartoon, is this some shit they wrote later? If so that fucking sucks and ruins her character. Hopefully new 52 did away with that shit? Or is that some shit they added?
How does that ruin her character? She was a person who manipulated people into getting what she wanted until it caught up with her and she ended up being the one manipulated. It's a classic tragedy.
