I'm about to have the game 100%'d. If you are a fan of SM64 or Sunshine, you'd probably like it. I might end up throwing up a review if they don't do a QL.

@boonsong: The beef between Mecha and Max is the only thing that I am aware of outside of Jon. I was there for the Mecha and Max thing, both of them did some pretty shitty things, albeit Mecha started it. General consensus on Facepunch (where all this drama happened really) was that both of them were assholes about it and were trying to bait the community into taking hard sides or ELSE; Mecha edged out Max in terms of being an asshole by Doxxing Max; It pretty much went silent after Mecha was banned. Mind you, this was in 2011 so most if not all the posts on the forum are gone due to cleaning of the boards.

Analogue: A Hate Story is very good and I'm also a sucker for Steins;Gate (though you don't date too much in that one, it's just a really good story with nice art).

@vierastalo: Honestly, I knew MaxofS2D when he was a moderator on Facepunch. It went both ways, not just one way.

I mean, he has a grand total of 2 lines of dialogue and they're not important in any way. There is also the issue of commenting potentially making it worse in some way and they're already a small team, so catching extra heat (from either side) would be pretty bad.

I think the lamest part is that they tapped El-P to do it, he made the whole thing, then they rejected it.

I should do an SMT roundup in general but for Persona it'd go 3>2>5>4. 4 just doesn't hold up for me very much outside of Chie. 5 is the best mechanically and has my personal favorite character Makoto, but tonally can be inconsistent and feels more linear than previous enters despite the side dungeon.

The 2s are something special in that they retain the SMT artstyle while incorporating the more teenage issues that permeate the series. Mechanically they are also more akin to SMT games which is nice for me since I enjoy them quite a bit. Also you fight fucking Hitler how is that not awesome.

And 3 is just great. The characters grow through the story, the villains are interesting and varied, and it has some of the highest stakes of all of the games making it very intense during those final floors of Tartarus. I hope they decide to do a re-release now that we have HD models, but I imagine that any new voice work and animation might put them off it.

@imhungry: This guy has the right idea.

That said, this list is still a little strange all things considered. Like, I LOVE Nier: Automata but it's more of a basic character action game than an RPG.

@oursin_360: You have to choose to go there. These zones will be in addition to the standard missions.

Typically main story content will level sync you to a more appropriate level (at most, 5 levels above the intended level). Item level is also synced so you don't just one shot everything despite having like +200 stats gear.

As for the story, it is mandatory to do story to unlock the end game dungeons and multiple other features. The only part of this that is sorta EH is that it can take HOURS to reach each content update depending on what class/job you are leveling because of mandatory dungeons, trials, and primals. Healers and Tanks have no problems, but DPS can get stuck especially now since there is a flood of Samurai and Red Mages.
