Man @FluxWaveZ, @yuutsushounen, you guys are stepping up your game (like more so). I'm having to work a heavy rush down Yukiko into my style to survive. Well survive Chie anyway, the jury's out on how to not get demolished by S.Labrys. Good matches tonight.

Anywho I was going to suggest for next tournament we compress things down to just two days (Sat/Sun). With a few exceptions we were running through rounds nice and quick last time so I think we can handle it.

Hey Aetheldod here's my setup as well for reference.

No Caption Provided

The HDMI splitter lets me play with a lagless connection to my monitor. The HDMI -> Component converter converts the HDMI signal to component for the Hauppauge HD PVR. The HD PVR send the 720p video to my computer where, at the moment, I'm using xsplit like everyone else.

I got both of the adapters at monoprice and the HD PVR from amazon.

And that's that. Whee :)

Hey guys.

Just a heads up that I won't be available today before 12pm PST (3PM EST). As soon as I get home I'll try and get my stream up and matches going.

Can someone explain how "winners" and "losers" rounds work, just for clarification?

In a double elimination tournament if you lose a round you're sent to the losers bracket. If you lose there you're out altogether. The winner of the losers bracket will eventually face the winner of the original bracket in the finals where the loser will need to win two sets to take it.

In terms of rounds - those who lose their match during Round 1 will play their next match during the Round 1 Losers round and all subsequent matches during Round X Losers.

Correct me if I'm wrong though.

On another note I tested out my capture hardware yesterday and it looks like everything is functional. Still working out the software side, but I should be good to go by start time :)

An update on video stuff on my end. I've ordered: 1x HD PVR, 1x HDMI splitter, 1x HDMI->Component converter. So if all goes well I should be able to both play and record/stream at the same time without incident.

Assuming I've got enough upload bandwidth to handle both streaming and netplay I plan to stream my matches for the weekend. During off-time if I'm not practicing I'll try and run another room for people to hold their matches in like Mike.

I think the

A C

B D

Layout is arcade standard for this one.

That said do what works for you. There's no "right" way to do input for fighting games regardless of what people may tell you.

EDIT: I'm planning to go pad right now for the record.
