@k9: Not for nothing, but you sound like a jerkass with a far-too-high opinion of yourself.

Ad hominem. Doesn't impress me.

I'm not saying you're wrong with your politics, but calling people "Philistines" and being as dismissive as you were based on calling @believer258 "believer whatever" leads me to think you have a bit of a superiority complex. And for the record, I wasn't trying to impress anyone.

@believer258: obama's compromised plenty of times in the past. The compromises offered now are no more than delays of Obamacare by different names.

I'm angry that someone could watch this shitshow and believe it isn't the republicans fault 95% (and the reason it's partially the dem's fault is they've been too soft before). Right now, the republicans are scrambling because their poll numbers have been down since the shutdown started, so obviously the public is aware that they shut down the government and would almost let the country default because they don't like a bill.

Plus, technically, since the dollar is the reserve currency (I don't know much about this butI've heard smarter people than me talk about it) our debt going up isn't actually the worst thing in the world.

And I'm angry that this whole shitshow is happening in the first place.

Again, no politician with a brain on his shoulders would let this sort of thing happen for no good cause. I'm not siding with the Republican tactic of "shut the whole thing down", but I simply cannot agree with the healthcare plan that this whole ruckus seems to be centered around. It's far too damaging to the little guy that wakes up at 6 AM, works for 8 hours a day, and comes home to try and sort out his money to make ends meet, usually with a few prayers under his breath because half the time it doesn't. It's also pretty damaging to the US economy as a whole. I'm no economist nor a politician, but I don't think that any country can continue to pile on debt after debt after debt and then take on a several extra billion dollars at once. Thus, the finger is pointed just as much at Democrats as it is at Republicans. This country is in terrible shape and everyone is arguing over something as stupid as a fucking health care bill. Where are the full-time permanent jobs? Why is the middle class still shrinking? Why is the cost of living going up? Aren't those things more important than a healthcare bill that just makes things worse?

You have no idea what Affordable care act is all about, do you? ACA is actually projected to reduce our national deficit by 200 billion in the next 10 years, according to CBO. Oh, and the imaginary person that you are describing in your post is just that, imaginary. Read this and then maybe you will begin to grasp what ACA means for the "little person". PS: if your income is so low that 8% of it can't cover a mandated health care package; you are exempt from ACA.

8% is pretty goddamn large. That's the sales tax in NYS, and let me tell you, it gets pretty substantial when you're buying high-ticket items. I can only imagine what it would look like being taken out of income.

I miss the layered aspect of 1 and 2's clothing options. I like the option to put on a t-shirt and an overshirt and then a coat, picking each item as I go along.

I'd get a EA or Capcom game on xbox or ps before pc any day, ea, capcom and few other companies make crappy pc ports of there games and with all the uplay and other logins I'd avoid anything thats not steam or drm free from GoG...

Capcom was one of the few companies who lead good PC ports this gen, so I don't know what you're talking about.

Well, this is supremely odd. A poorly designed dungeon crawler where the reward for clearing a floor is pixelated nudity. I can't imagine what the payoff for beating the whole game is.

That's the payoff. Well, the payoff is assistance with it.

The next time you wonder why every single AAA, big budget game gets 9s and 10s everywhere regardless of quality, take a good look at this thread and see what people say about someone who DARES to have a dissenting opinion.

See, it was a great game. It looked great, it played great, and the story was intriguing and well-written (regardless of overall originality). Tom McShea has built his Gamespot editorial reputation on being contrarian and arguing with everyone. He's an ass. His review of Bioshock Infinite is on par with Carolyn Petite's argument that Persona 4 should've played out the way she wanted it to in regards to Kanji and Naoto, therefore her appraisal of the story was that it was homophobic and anti-trans. It was fucking moronic.
