So many replies! Didn't expect that.... But I'd say Ilomilo is a great suggestion! Not sure about Castle crashers though. I have it and I don't think It's something she would enjoy. I also think Minecraft would be a little too complex to start off with. Judging by how Battlefield 3 went, we'd spend most of the time looking down at the ground and up in the sky.

@ravenlight: Yes! "Here, beat Ornstein & Smough with bare hand and 5 estus or we're done" Would be abit hypocritical though, seeing as I suck at Dark Souls.

@morbid_coffee: She's never played anything other than some Guitar Hero (which she enjoyed). So I'm kinda just looking for general suggestions. I'd say anything but FPS games or Kinect. Doesn't have to be a co-op game even.

@oldguy: Haven't tried that one! I'll look into it!

So my girlfriend has started taking an interest with my favorite pass time and now I need a good game to initiate her! We've already tried playing the (awful) Battlefield 3 campaign on the easiest setting, both by herself and with me controlling the movement while she did all the shooting. Since she's never held a game controller before in her entire life, you can imagine how it went... Now she's agreed to give it a second try, but unfortunately my collection of games only caters to core-gamers like myself. Help!

So wait? You get a free bungee jump AND a copy of Borderlands 2? Man, I wish I lived in cool places.

This. It's kind of the same as letting them make you take home a copy of Borderlands so you can bungie jump for free. Two free stuffs of goodness.

But...I think this is prejudiced against obese people. And "...discover just how psycho Borderlands 2 fans can get...bring the insane pleasure of the game into the real world!" - Ben Lawrence, UK PR manager 2K Games

For serious? The joe cool psycho insane baditude talk hurts my brain. Is that the new-speak focus groups generate these days? Or is bungie jumping really both a legitimate barometer of psycho-ness and a real world equivalent of Borderlands 2?

I really hope you're not being serious...

I completely with the rest of your post though... It's astonishing how often PR-people say really stupid things given their profession.

@salavaster: Have you played Diablo 2? There are way more stats and effects that make items way more interesting than in DIablo 3.

Wait... There's a connection just because he has the same name as a fictional character?

I still don't get this though. If the problem is the RMAH, couldn't they just make a seperate singleplayer mode where online interactions of any kind were impossible? Like they did in D2...

If it's for the DRM then that's more understandable but still kinda shitty. Expecting all players to have a good internet connection 100% of the time is not a very good business decision imho.
