I joined during the launch of the site as well. I fell off posting on the forums or interacting with the community pretty hard around 2010/2011 though. I still watched GB content pretty regularly though, I actually only checked the forums recently too see if some of the OGs were still around lol

I was one of the suckers that bought an RTX 2080 a couple months after it came out. But if I were in the market for a new card i would wait to see some real world benchmarks for the new AMD cards, If the performance is anything like they're telling us its going to be nuts.

Well... I started following/watching Giantbomb when it was Jeffs' blog after he got fired from gamespot, I was 17 or 18 at the time and going through a lot of personal issues. The community, Videos and the personalities of the GB staff really helped me get through a very mundane and depressing point in my life. I always looked forward to their content when I got home from work and chatting with fellow duders at the time.

While I still followed the content and the videos, I fell off from posting on the forums because i was at a point in my life where i didn't need the online social interaction anymore. But every once in a while i like to check in and reminisce with other duders.

I clicked on this topic for the avatar (allez! allez! allez!) but stayed for the subject. I feel like any MMO, non-cinematic RPG or RTS is perfect for multi-tasking or background T.V watching. The one thing I associate most with my days of playing Star Wars Galaxies and World of Warcraft was Nick at Night re-runs of Roseanne and Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.

I picked repetitive/grindy games only because I exclusively listen to podcasts while playing FIFA. I don't really have the means to listen to podcasts as I only have a 5 minute commute to work and I also work in the restaurant business. So a good session of FIFA, A couple beers and the most recent episode of the Bombcast or Beastcast is a great way to unwind after a long workday.

Mass Effect. Either from 1 or 2, that series peaked early and Bioware has been chasing that tail ever since.

This, nothing will ever come close to Mass Effect 2 or the impact the original Mass Effect had on my life at the time. I don't see Bioware spending the manpower or the money to create a meaningful successor especially after Andromeda.

Also KOTOR comes to mind after thinking about Bioware in general. The stuff they're doing with The Old Republic is good but no where near as good as the original series was.

@opusofthemagnum: Games to unwind before bed/right after work (i work long shifts). I find trying to fall asleep right after work to be futile as my mind is still running and thinking about work.

I need something that would distract and unwind my brain in preparation for bed time.

@punched: I might actually start taking that suggestion as I've been looking for a way to get back into shape. The only problem is my job leaves me very little time to play games to begin with so i usually try to utilize the time i have after work to actually play a few games. Being a life long PC enthusiast is so hard. #firstworldproblems
